Well as 1.5.0 is a later MOD than 1.4.0 I 'd go for the former

as for your second question..............no idea :D
Yes i know that ! :)

But the version 1.4.0 is in the branches directory and 1.5.0 in the trunk directory.

thanks to both of you

You're changed only for language strings or for index names too? Don't touch CAPSED strings.. also i don't recommend you to touch permissions string.
Can you show me your modifications for your template?

The RED's template doesn't have a template file !! I think it pulls the info from the prosilver template, so do you want to see that one ?

Very nice mod indeed, I was wondering if its possible for me to Change the "Karma" to something else like "Reputation"?
If I install the 1.4.0 version, how difficult would it be to upgrade it to 1.5.0? Like do I have to start from the beginning or is there a Auto updater?

Great Mod totally love it, keep it up ;)

Cannot find module ./../includes/acp/acp_karma.php

acp_karma.php suppose to be in includes/mods/acp/acp_karma.php?
So where to change those things?

I had the same problem with the 1.2.3 version with my phpbb 3.0.7 ! Try with the 1.4.0 version.

m157y, are you interested if i translate your mod in French because that's what i'm doing !

I still have no buttons and am beginning to regret installing this as support seems to be a bit hit and miss.

The buttons appear and work in the Prosilver theme, but disappear when I switch to my Reds theme, my Red's theme has no template file....is this causing the problem?

Should I find a similar theme which has a template file ?

Should i just give up with phpBB and switch to Vbulletin ?

Hello m157y, I am having a couple of issues that perhaps you could help with. I am using Karma 1.2.3 on 3.0.7, both fresh installations.

1. I am finding that when viewing threads, that they can be slow to open (up to 7 or 8 seconds). This does seem to be caused by the Karma MOD as disabling Karma fixes this. I am also able to replicate this using Xampp so this does not seem to be a problem with my host.

Strangely though, this only seems to affect ME! Other users that I have tested with do not experience this slowdown.

2. I believe I have found a bug. My apologies if you were aware of this. If a user disables the Karma toplist in his admin control panel, there is no way for him to enable it again. It must be enabled by changing the value of the user_karma_toplist field in phpMyAdmin.

I have disabled this MOD completely

It's far too buggy
The support here is very hit and miss.
It doesn't work with themes like Reds which have no template files.
Installation with AutoMOD leaves a lot to guess work
Thsi MOD is definately not for a newbie or the inexperienced

IMO this MOD should never have been released/ validated

I'm now using the User Reputation Points beta MOD and it installs and works a dream with 3.0.7, muy advice is save your selves a load of hassle......download that.

Have you modified all needed files in /template/ direcotory and uploaded included files to your style?
I don't know if template can be an issue, but if you talk about template.cfg file then it stores only these lines

Code: Select all

name = subc
copyright = © phpBB Group, 2003
version = 3.0.7

Sorry but i reported a lot of bug with "user reputation point 3.0.1" ! Support is "hit and miss" too !
Unluckily, m157y doesn't follow his mod as he schould ! Just be patient ! He is probably working on the next version.
Did you try to install the mod without the autoMOD ?

Updated from 1.2.3 to 1.4.0.
