HI GUYS,
i've decided to install this pretty mod version 1.2.3 on my forum with a prosilver style based. I've applied all the issues and file changes decribed in the guide install.karmamod.xml, and all goes well till the last task of the installion.

When i put in the browser the url of my site like this http://www.sitename.com/forum/install_karma nothing well appens and i receive the message on my board that says: YOU DON'T HAVE PERMISSION TO ACCESS THIS AREA

I'm getting crazy to find a solution, can you help me please.

P.S. I'm testing this mod on my localhost based on a xampp enviroment.

Help me please, regards

Tristan

Thank you for this mod. It's working great on my forum.
A few things I'd love to see in future releases:

- An option in the ACP to turn off negative karma
- An option in the ACP to set a different maximum number for negative karma and positive karma
- A report button so that users can report abusive comments, just like reporting a post

Ability to disable negative karma and report button already added for 1.5.0 version
Different maximum power for positive and negative karmas? Khm, so i have a question, i want to add power showing at viewtopic/viewprofile pages, so which value we must to show? Also another question, for what it needed?

PS
1.5.0 will be not earlier than 25 March

Excuse me, what do you intend with signing in as an admin? Can you teach me please and explain the last actions i've to do after the file import/change/integration??

At the end the guide says this: "Open in your web browser and follow the instructions in /install_karma"

What i've to open?

I think i've to open this url: http://www.sitename.com/forum/install_karma

So i don't understand when you ask if I've signed in as an Admin.

Please help me, i'm getting crazy

After I installed this mod, my ACP keeps saying "remove or rename the karma mod install directory"... but I really cant find the instal directory. Is it inside the root directory?

Yes the folder install_karma is in the root of your forum. You have to rename or remove it.

Finally I solve problems for installation putting in the browser the url:

http://www.mysitename.com/forum/install_karma

but now i've a question. Why my karma doesn't grows even if for testing i wrote a lot of posts???

Any help?? I'm admin of the board and i can add or decrease karma of other users leaving a coment. All works fine but even if i wrote many many posts my karma doesn't grows.

Karma MOD has this feature or my karma depends only by the add or decrease of another user and not by number of posts written??

Thanks for help.

FIrst of all, what edit are you made at overall_header.html? Because as i see at html of page, you have this

Code: Select all

<!-- [+] Karma MOD //-->
on each page, but it doesn't closed and i don't remember this at this part of page... O_o
And about your problem, what about post limit at karma settings?
2 tristan71
Karma works only by +/- from another users... You want something like points system... Any ideas how organize this with current karma mod and possible it'll be added... I'm always open for new ideas...

Have problems and posts link to your forum? Please, don't forget to provide a test account...
P.S.
At one of next releases work with bug-reports will be simplified...
