Try it and find out. It's not like your computer will blow up or anything. ;)

But you will probably get a js error.

I deleted the file, but it's still making the noise. Would there be a cached version of it somewhere I need to get rid of?

Ah, thank you, that fixed it. :)

What exactly does CTRL + F5 do?

Couple of qustions/problems

Post by WhiteRaven101 »

I have installed mChat, and it works fine (almost). I got some questions I would like if you could answer for me.

1. Several places on in my ACP i have some weird looks on links/text. Sometimes it's hard to "read" what it says. See here what I mean: http://bildr.no/view/567897

2. I'm allmost completely sure I've done everything right, but I have no place to set mChat permissions. This is a screen of the Global Grouprights - Administrator. There is no Tab for mChat as I've seen others have: http://bildr.no/view/567898

3. Is it possible to get the same border (style) around the mChat as my categories have? Link to my forum: http://teknoportalen.no/

4. How do I move the mChat from my index page to another page, fx. this one: http://teknoportalen.no/viewforum.php?f=5

Thanks for answers! ..and for giving me the opportunity to use this mod!

So it's a shoutbox then?

Is there a way to make it appear on all pages, or can it only appear on the index?

Where are the chat messages stored? Are they stored in the same database as the posts?

Anyone test if it works on 3.04?

You didn't make the changes to constants.php or you made them but didn't upload the file.

Can we stay on the topic of mChat please?

PS if you use the auto update the likelihood of "losing mods" greatly diminishes.
