This mod requires the .Mods module to be installed. Go into your ACP and add the module back in under the Administrator Control Panel.

Is there any way I can completely disable the sounds? It's irritating as hell, especially on the index page and everyone on my forum complains about it not staying off. :|

Unfortunately, that was part of the original mod. When first logged onto the forum and at the chat, for now, just unclick the sound button.

Then again, some may like it as it alerts you that there was a new message and you may be in some other window.

Can't please everyone I guess.

Oh well. Worth a shot. We like having it so we can suck it up.

I need to get the mchat set up so you can tell when someone enters the chat, replies to the chat, while your on another page. Otherwise you do not know until you return to the index page. Can this be done ? Even a pop up like when you receive a pm would be nice.
By the way, I changed the send sound file to one that you can hear, if you are listening to music. That click sound didn't work well for me. I couldn't hear it sometimes. Everyone likes the chat...

1. Browse to the file mchat_install.php in the root of your forum to make the database changes.
2. Delete the mchat_install.php file from the root of your forum.
3. Make all edits to all files and upload them to your forum.
4. Refresh the styles in the ACP, set the settings for the Mini Chat under the ".MODS" tab.
5. Then visit user/group permissions and set the permissions for the Mini Chat for your groups/users.
6. Enjoy the Mod!!
1. How do I undo the database changes?
2. mchat.php was already deleted.

How do I undo the database changes?
Run the installer that comes with the mod and choose "uninstall".

Enter the ACP->System->module management->Administrator Control Panel. Click on the mchat link and remove (hit the delete) the configuration the remove the main module and it will be totally uninstalled. I would have thought that UMIL would have handled that.

Kind of seems that way. Yes, bbcodes is closed until further notice, Maybe...
I guess I'll quit asking questions, since I can't get an answer...

After a lot of thinking I have decided to close down PhpBB3 BBCodes.
I just dont have the time or drive to maintain the site anymore.

There are several tasks that I haven't had the time to do and I don't feel that it is responsible to continue.

I am not sure when or if I will get the time to get everything up to date, so I can't really set any timeframe for opening the site again or give any guarantee that it ever will open again.

No goodbye without saying a thank you to all the Team members who have helped running the board.
You're the Best!

EDIT: I will build the board up as a knowledge base with BBCodes, Guides, Mods and styles.
But it will be a read only board with no support or registration.
Unfortunately this is going to take some time.

Kind regards
Stoker
