RICH,

Sometimes ago, the 'S_MCHAT_ON_INDEX' is changed to this

Code: Select all

'S_MCHAT_ON_INDEX'		=> isset($config['mchat_on_index']) ? $config['mchat_on_index'] : false,
Which one is exactly to use ?

Code: Select all

'S_MCHAT_ON_INDEX'      => (isset($config['mchat_on_index']) && $config['mchat_on_index']) ? true : false,
Thanks

Neat thing with writing PHP code is there are different ways to do the same thing.

In other words, it doesn't matter as they both produce the same result.

Brilliant Mod.

Worked first time, well almost. Being somewhat new to phpBB, I didn't realise how to "refresh" the template ... so I just reselected it and guess what, it didn't work. A friend pointed out the error of my ways and, once properly refreshed, it worked.

Thanks for providing such a good Mod.

Hello, I have this installed on a seperate page. works fine and all, but I get an javascript error ( little icon error ) from my browser saying "Unterminated string constant". it goes away when I click on a smilie... any idea what that means?

Peter, more than likely one of the smilies has an ' (apostrophe?) in it which is prematurely terminating the js.

snake1987 wrote:How can i made that every user have the choice to see or hide the chat in the index forum? (but not in custom page) like adding some option in the ucp. i have to modify or add some table to the database?

Any idea? Thanks!!

How about that? Could you implement it in future versions? It is strictly necessary to modify the database structure?

Thanks
Finally I did it by myself, now my chat have global configuration and specific configuration for each user. Each of them can enable or disable the chat on index page, via UCP

If someone wants the code PM me or ask for it
All my attempts to make this code fails, so I would be grateful for this code.

Hey stoker thanks for mChat newer verion

I use phpBB 3.0.7 PL1

I tried to install this mod, I did all the modification required. but the last change in overall_header.html

I'm not able to find where this line exists

Code: Select all

<li class="icon-faq"><a href="{U_FAQ}" title="{L_FAQ_EXPLAIN}">{L_FAQ}</a></li>
Can I find a solution for this ? Thanks in advance...

You can have more smilies showing by going into your ACP/posting/smilies and making the smilies you want to add, display on posting page.
No need for a button.
