Most everything seems to work fine, except the chat window expands infinitely instead of only keeping the last few messages, and it doesn't scroll.

This causes the chat to get very big until I refresh the page. When I refresh the page the chat message window is smaller again.

Can you help?
I found the problem. it was due to an incorrect link to the .css stylesheet for my template.

How do we display mChat on all forum pages, instead of just the index?

or,

how about limiting the size of the page so users don't have to scroll to the top and bottom to read and post....
is the bold and underlined question on above quoted question been answered before? Can't seem to find the answer.

It may be in the Dev topic.

Pretty sure "Muggins" changed it around.

This 2 posts from Dev topic are mentioning the input box on top but there's no instruction how. Is it possible in this latest version of mChat?

I only got 4 results for searching "input box top" The other 2 is not related.

Thanks

I located this file floating around, I won't support it but you can try it to see if it does what you want. It is for prosilver based style only.

Has anyone found a way to change the chat from assending to descending? Is there a way to allow guests to chat? Is there a way to change the rules?

Edit the language file that comes with the mod.

Hey, I'm running 3.0.7-PL1 and this works like a charm. I was just wondering if anyone had an alternate sounds for when new messages come up as the current chirp hurts my ears when I hear it constantly. Does anyone know where I can get the soft facebook pop sound instead? Thanks :D

aaalba wrote:hello, can you say how can i add a button,"view more smileys" because now there are some smileys, but not all.
I'm also looking for a fix for this. A forum I am an admin on, has over 50 smilies and we can't set all of them to "Display on posting page" because it throws the submit button way to far down on the page.

Thanks, and great mod.

To get the "view more smileys" link, and have it work, the input area has to change to a textarea and other such things have to change in the html (as well as the mchat.php file).

If I get bored one day, I will write something up.

Thanks for the quick response.

Instead, is there an easy way for mChat to ignore the "Display on posting page" setting, and display all smilies?

Is there a way to get a font color drop down box where the other BBcode buttons are?
If yes how?

Within mchat.php there is this

Code: Select all

					WHERE display_on_posting = 1
remove it.

Hi Graham!! :)

Not sure on what you mean as there is no font color drop down box unless you have modified your files to produce that effect.
