I'm still not on 3.0.6. :oops: (Life has got in the way for the past month and haven't still found the time to upgrade), so I haven't installed this version yet...

I just wanted to ask about something:
Some time ago in the previous version's topic I asked whether it would be possible to increase the maximum number of characters allowed in the contact reasons textarea.
Is this by any chance implemented in this version?
My mods in MODDB:
Add Homepage link in header - Change user activity post limit - Post number in viewtopic
If you need support click on the support tab there and post your question.
Do not PM me - chances of viewing my PMs are way thinner than viewing the support question in the customization DB...

Yes, this has been corrected it uses its own table now instead of the config table of phpbb so there is >virtually< no limit on the number of contact reasons (column in table is set to "mediumtext" which allows a string with a maximum length of 16777215 characters.). So if you have less than 16,777,215 characters for your contact reasons, you're all set. ;)

This version also allows attachments as well as the ability to choose any user to have the message posted by (instead of having to choose a user that had a least one admin permission).

..and a few other things as well.

I've followed the instructions and copied all files, but I'm getting errors.

Link to contact page on my board: http://www.2ribe.com/contact.php

In Internet Explorer, the formatting is all screwed up, the contact page overlaps the header. In Firefox, everything is aligned properly, but still same errors at bottom.

I have installed the Prime Quick Login MOD, and I have edited my overall_header to include a little message that's only visible to guests. Could that be part of the problem?

template->_tpl_load_file(): File ./styles/proFormell/template/captcha_default.html does not exist or is empty
I just checked that style

http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1197725

looks to me you are missing some html files for the style.

Great mod, thanks!

Installed it with a bit of trouble, but I think thats more to do with my build rather than the mod, two questions though:

1) On the contact.php its showing { CONTACT_BOARD_ADMIN } rather than anything else, I assume this is a language snafu, can you advise how I can fix this?

2) Is there anyway to get the mod to send to Global Mods rather than Administrators? We are a small board so don't use the administrators group

If you are using a language other than en (eg, like en_us for example) you have to upload the files found in language/en/mods into that language keeping the structure (eg language/en_us/mods).
2) Is there anyway to get the mod to send to Global Mods rather than Administrators? We are a small board so don't use the administrators group
It chooses based on if a user has >any< administrative permission.

Code: Select all

				// Grab an array of user_id's with admin permissions
				$admin_ary = $auth->acl_get_list(false, 'a_', false);
				$admin_ary = (!empty($admin_ary[0]['a_'])) ? $admin_ary[0]['a_'] : array();

				if ($config_contact['contact_method'] == CONTACT_METHOD_EMAIL && sizeof($admin_ary))
				{
					$sql_where .= ' WHERE ' . $db->sql_in_set('user_id', $admin_ary) . ' AND user_allow_viewemail = 1';
				}
				else if ($config_contact['contact_method'] == CONTACT_METHOD_PM && sizeof($admin_ary))
				{
					$sql_where .= ' WHERE ' . $db->sql_in_set('user_id', $admin_ary) . ' AND user_allow_pm = 1';
				}
if you want it for just moderators (any moderator) then change within contact.php the above to

Code: Select all

				// Grab an array of user_id's with admin permissions
				$admin_ary = $auth->acl_get_list(false, 'm_', false);
				$admin_ary = (!empty($admin_ary[0]['m_'])) ? $admin_ary[0]['m_'] : array();

				if ($config_contact['contact_method'] == CONTACT_METHOD_EMAIL && sizeof($admin_ary))
				{
					$sql_where .= ' WHERE ' . $db->sql_in_set('user_id', $admin_ary) . ' AND user_allow_viewemail = 1';
				}
				else if ($config_contact['contact_method'] == CONTACT_METHOD_PM && sizeof($admin_ary))
				{
					$sql_where .= ' WHERE ' . $db->sql_in_set('user_id', $admin_ary) . ' AND user_allow_pm = 1';
				}
Note the change above from a_ to m_

The user must have the option to receive pm's and/or emails set to yes, otherwise they are excluded from the array.
