I wanted to point out this is a wonderful MOD from the looks, and I certainly look forward to installing it.

Forgive my ignorance and lack of knowledge on how the phpbb forum software works, but what does extending the breadcrumbs do to a board as I don’t understand the description above.

Either way, well done on the mod validation.
Thanks ;)

You see at the top of the page where it says
Board index ‹ phpBB 3.0.x ‹ 3.0.x Modifications Forums ‹ [3.0.x] MOD Database Releases
Those are called the Breadcrumbs, as they show each step to get to that page (index, category, forum, topic, etc.)
Well, on some pages it doesn't show exactly where you are and only says "Board Index". This MOD will extend that. So on the Search page, when you enter a search terms, it will say Board Index ‹ Search ‹ (search term here). And it does so in other places as well.

Ahh... that makes perfect sense, thank you. Am off now to have a look on my forum to see what happens and if it needs this mod.
Again, thanks ;)

Hi,
Awesome Mod!

Could you help me to modify it slightly?

Currently, breadcrumbs look like that:

Code: Select all

Board index ‹ phpBB 3.0.x ‹ 3.0.x Modifications Forums ‹ [3.0.x] MOD Database Releases
I'd like to remove hyperlink from last element [3.0.x] MOD Database Releases and wrap it with <strong> tag, how would I do that?

Thank you!

@magento-developer:

Thank u :)

I had thought such a thing to render its working similar to that of vB. But to make it requires too many code changes (templates and functions), so i given up.

This is a simple MOD and in my opinion, messing up many code lines for a nonessential change isn't a good idea. ;)

Thanks for the mod Primy.

Just a small edit for 3.0.7-PL1, instead of doing the instructions in the install.xml file for the edits to the report.php file, i suggest the following;

Bear in mind i'm a novice coder so i may not be complying with phpbb coding standards, so wait for confirmation from the mod author first if you wish.

Open root/report.php

Find

Code: Select all

// Start output of page
page_header($page_title);
Add after

Code: Select all

// Set up Navlinks
$template->assign_block_vars('navlinks', array(
'FORUM_NAME' => ($user->lang['REPORT_POST'] . " : " . $report_data['post_subject']))
);

Locked

Return to “[3.0.x] MOD Database Releases”
