under "users and groups" > "manage groups". edit the properies of a group, there should be a new field.

Hi,

I'm using Version 3.0.1 with prosilver and the german lang files. I have done all the changes mentioned in the install guide. I loaded every file up, had some error messages :mrgreen: and double checked every file again. Afer putting a ";" at the end of a line all error massages are gone.

So I purged the cache and clicked on "manage groups". Nothing changes. There is no additional column. I opend a group for editing. No space for editing the legend order under the "rank". I even changed the not needed [en]-file. (I changed the [de]-file)

I don't know, what I can do or where I can search for the error. I checked the files again and found no mistake.

Any idea what I can do for solving this?

Thanks for your help in advance.

EDIT: I found the Problem. I didn't clear the whole cache with my FTP program :oops: OK. Aehm... next time I will scroll down to the rest of the files instead of searching for mistakes for hours :?

Code: Select all

SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ';FROM phpbb_groups WHERE group_legend = 1 ORDER BY group_legend_pos ASC' at line 2 [1064]

SQL

SELECT group_id, group_name, group_colour, group_type, group_legend_pos  FROM phpbb_groups WHERE group_legend = 1 ORDER BY group_legend_pos ASC

BACKTRACE

FILE: includes/db/mysql.php
LINE: 158
CALL: dbal->sql_error()

FILE: index.php
LINE: 64
CALL: dbal_mysql->sql_query()
How can I fix it?

FIX it myself, added "g.group_legend_pos " somewhere it shouldn't have been :lol:

I get this error

Code: Select all

You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ' g.group_legend_pos <> 2 OR ug.user_id = 1) ORDER BY g.gr [1064]
I load the backup files works fine after I reedit the files ERROR, I am so clueless

Hi, I have never manually edited my SQL Queries, so could someone tell me how to use this:

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE phpbb_groups ADD group_legend_pos SMALLINT(4) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT '0';
with a xampp 1.6.6 Basic installation with Apache 2.2.x and MySQL installed as a service. In phpMyAdmin is where I need to know how to do it. I haven't made any changes to the SQL queries, so I've been getting this error:
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Unknown column 'g.group_legend_pos' in 'field list' [1054]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists
I do have the Table "phpbb_groups" with all the groups that I made on my board, but when I go to the Insert option next to the "phpbb_groups", I get a bunch of text boxes that I don't know what to with, or where to put the above SQL code.

Please help me, by teaching me how to do this, that way I know how to do it, and I won't need help in the future. Post Screen Captures too if you can, it would make following the instructions and knowing what to do alot easier.

Thank You!
