This topic might be interesting for people who use the SEO MODs from phpbb-seo.com together with Instant Post Redirect:

Instant Post Redirect & ADV Seo MOD
katib wrote:1-if using quick reply box, it redirect to post :)
2-if using new post (posting.php?mode=post), it redirect to topic (first post in topic) instead og my last post :?
Sounds odd. Which Quick Reply MOD do you use?

Wolfgang

I have a problem. I've installed the MOD, after I submit the post I get a blank page. The post is submitted but I am not redirected anywhere, just a blank page without any header...

Please help!
Thank you

Double check you edit...it's one edit to one file. If your posting worked fine before the install then it was installed incorrectly.

Nope, sorry but it still does not work. I've tried all the things I've read in here and the installation is OK. Its probably due to the fact that I am also using PHPBB SEO MOD. I go not know how $redirect works but it breaks with PHPBB SEO MOD.

SEO mod's, IMHO, are useless and there have been more mods broken because of them. Your best bet is to post in the topic of whatever SEO mod you are using to get the problem fixed. ;)

Thanx RMcGirr83, I'll try that. My board is so MODed that I hardly know how to fix this kind of things. Anyway this is a good MOD you want to have on any board.

I have thesame problem after upgrading from version 3.0.0 to 3.0.4
It was working before the upgrade but when the forum went to 3.0.4 I also got a blank page after posting.
(no mods installed but the quickreply mod)

As I wanted a quick fix to satisfy my users I removed the redirect statement and edited the meta redirect to wait for '0' (zero) seconds and it works fairy good. No more blank pages, quick redirects and I can wait for someone to fix this. :)

My code now:

Code: Select all

else
			{
				meta_refresh(0, $redirect_url);

				$message = ($mode == 'edit') ? 'POST_EDITED' : 'POST_STORED';
				$message = $user->lang[$message] . '<br /><br />' . sprintf($user->lang['VIEW_MESSAGE'], '<a href="' . $redirect_url . '">', '</a>');
			}
HTH.

Confirmed, it doesn't seem to work in IE7 with 3.0.4
Seems I didn't properly install the ie_fix. It works fine now.
