Re: Prime Quick Login

Post by delux247 »

well before I do that I didn't see any instructions on where to upload the files that i download so i followed the instructions for prosilver. What I mean is I followed these prosilver instructions

Code: Select all

File Copy

   1.

      Copy: root/includes/prime_quick_login.php
          To: includes/prime_quick_login.php

   2.

      Copy: root/language/en/mods/prime_quick_login.php
          To: language/en/mods/prime_quick_login.php
then I followed the subsilver instructions.

Yeah, you have to follow all of the instructions in the main install file first (except for any prosilver template changes if you do not have that style installed anymore), and then when that's done move on to the subsilver2 instructions.

But what I'm saying is that your subsilver2/template/overall_header.html file should have caused PHP to give you an error message because of that extra ENDIF statement you had in there. The fact that it didn't indicates that perhaps you are not uploading it to the right directory.

No, there are more steps than just copying files. You also have to edit includes/functions.php

I just thought I would post these changes for anyone who wants to use them. These changes assume you've already installed the Quick Login mod.

Add the "Hide my online status this session"(Hide me) option for both prosilver and subsilver2:

Code: Select all

OPEN:
styles/prosilver/template/overall_header.html

FIND:
					<!-- IF S_AUTOLOGIN_ENABLED --><label for="prime_login_autologin"><input tabindex="102" type="checkbox" name="autologin" id="prime_login_autologin" /> {L_PRIME_REMEMBER_ME}</label><!-- ENDIF -->

IN-LINE FIND:
id="prime_login_autologin" /> {L_PRIME_REMEMBER_ME}</label>

IN-LINE AFTER ADD:
 <label for="viewonline"><input type="checkbox" name="viewonline" id="viewonline" tabindex="5" /> {L_PRIME_HIDE_ME}</label>

OPEN:
language/en/mods/prime_quick_login.php

FIND:
	'PRIME_REMEMBER_ME'		=> 'Remember me',

AFTER, ADD:
	'PRIME_HIDE_ME'		=> 'Hide me',

OPEN:
styles/subsilver2/template/overall_header.html

FIND:
<!-- ELSEIF not AUTO_REFRESH --><form method="post" action="{S_LOGIN_ANYWHERE}"><span class="genmed">{L_USERNAME}:</span> <input tabindex="100" class="post" type="text" name="username" size="10" />&nbsp; <span class="genmed">{L_PASSWORD}:</span> <input tabindex="101" class="post" type="password" name="password" size="10" />&nbsp; <!-- IF S_AUTOLOGIN_ENABLED --> <input tabindex="102" type="checkbox" class="radio" name="autologin" />  <span class="gensmall">{L_PRIME_REMEMBER_ME}</span><!-- ENDIF -->&nbsp; <input tabindex="103" type="submit" class="btnmain" name="login" value="{L_LOGIN}" /></form>

IN-LINE FIND:
<span class="gensmall">{L_PRIME_REMEMBER_ME}</span>

IN-LINE AFTER ADD:
 &nbsp; <input type="checkbox" class="radio" name="viewonline" tabindex="4" /> <span class="gensmall">{L_PRIME_HIDE_ME}</span>

This hides the Login link in the header when logged out. When you're logged in it shows the Logout link.

Code: Select all

OPEN:
styles/prosilver/template/overall_header.html

FIND:
					<li class="icon-logout"><a href="{U_LOGIN_LOGOUT}" title="{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}" accesskey="l">{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a></li>

REPLACE WITH:
<!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN -->
					<li class="icon-logout"><a href="{U_LOGIN_LOGOUT}" title="{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}" accesskey="l">{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a></li>
				<!-- ENDIF -->

OPEN:
styles/subsilver2/template/overall_header.html

FIND:
				<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT --><a href="{U_LOGIN_LOGOUT}"><img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/images/icon_mini_login.gif" width="12" height="13" alt="*" /> {L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a>&nbsp;<!-- ENDIF -->

REPLACE WITH:
				<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT and S_USER_LOGGED_IN --><a href="{U_LOGIN_LOGOUT}"><img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/images/icon_mini_login.gif" width="12" height="13" alt="*" /> {L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a>&nbsp;<!-- ENDIF -->
Don't apply the second one if you've removed the default bottom quick login as you'll then have to use the DELETE COOKIE link to force a logout.

You also shouldn't use the second one if you remove the bottom quick login as then there would be no link to the main login page where the "I forgot my password" link is.

If there are no update instructions then you just copy over the new files.

i've install the Prime Quick Login version 1.2.1
after those steps (on phpBB 3.0.2) on prosilver and i get an error :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in C:\WampServer 2.0\www\forum\cache\tpl_prosilver_overall_header.html.php on line 174

if i remove the } from cache .. apear something like that .. <?php } ?> the forum looks like this

I see that i need to remove an ENDIF (i think) but don't know which :

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_PRIME_QUICK_LOGIN and not AUTO_REFRESH and not S_USER_LOGGED_IN and not S_IS_BOT -->
			<form method="post" action="{S_PRIME_QUICK_LOGIN}" style="float:left;width:60%;overflow:visible;">
				<fieldset class="quick-login" style="float:left;white-space:nowrap">
					<label for="prime_login_username">{L_PRIME_QUICK_LOGIN_USERNAME}:</label>&nbsp;<input tabindex="100" type="text" name="username" id="prime_login_username" size="10" class="inputbox" style="min-width:100px" title="{L_PRIME_QUICK_LOGIN_USERNAME}" />
					<label for="prime_login_password">{L_PRIME_QUICK_LOGIN_PASSWORD}:</label>&nbsp;<input tabindex="101" type="password" name="password" id="prime_login_password" size="10" class="inputbox" style="min-width:100px" title="{L_PRIME_QUICK_LOGIN_PASSWORD}" />
					<!-- IF S_AUTOLOGIN_ENABLED --><label for="prime_login_autologin"><input tabindex="102" type="checkbox" name="autologin" id="prime_login_autologin" /> {L_PRIME_QUICK_LOGIN_REMEMBER}</label><!-- ENDIF -->
					<input tabindex="103" type="submit" name="login" value="{L_LOGIN}" class="button2" />
				</fieldset>
			</form>
			<!-- ENDIF -->

            <ul class="linklist leftside">
				<li class="icon-ucp">
					<a href="{U_PROFILE}" title="{L_PROFILE}" accesskey="u">{L_PROFILE}</a>
						<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_PM --> (<a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}">{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}</a>)<!-- ENDIF --> &bull;
					<a href="{U_SEARCH_SELF}">{L_SEARCH_SELF}</a>
					<!-- IF U_RESTORE_PERMISSIONS --> &bull;
					<a href="{U_RESTORE_PERMISSIONS}">{L_RESTORE_PERMISSIONS}</a>
					<!-- ENDIF -->
				</li>
			</ul>
			<!-- ENDIF -->

			<ul class="linklist rightside">
				<li class="icon-faq"><a href="{U_FAQ}" title="{L_FAQ_EXPLAIN}">{L_FAQ}</a></li>
				<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT -->
					<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_MEMBERLIST --><li class="icon-members"><a href="{U_MEMBERLIST}" title="{L_MEMBERLIST_EXPLAIN}">{L_MEMBERLIST}</a></li><!-- ENDIF -->

According to just that snippet of code, it would probably be this one:

Code: Select all

            </li>
         </ul>
         <!-- ENDIF -->
