The seo_footer is supposed to have a couple cool features, but it's certainly not supposed to show something twice… try removing it and see how it shows.
If I remove it. Both is gone.

I have a feeling its something to do with my over all footer here is the code to it. I don't know enough about it.

Code: Select all

This sounds like a great mod but I am extremely hesitant to install it. I don't think this mod should have been "released" and should still be in development. There has been a lot of great help as far as other members providing fixes but there seems to be a new bug popping up frequently.

Handyman- Do you plan on releasing another version soon?

fatmcgav wrote:Hi there,

First off, great mod, works a treat with the little tweaks in this thread.

There's one big thing i've noticed whilst i've been using it though - the fact that it doesn't cover links originating from Search.php, so any links from 'Show Newest Posts' or the search page use the old structure...

Is this something that's being worked on, an easy implementation or what?

Let me know.

Cheers
Gavin
if you want to, then open the file: search.php
Find (+/- Line 734):

Code: Select all

$forum_id = $row['forum_id'];
Add After:

Code: Select all

$forum_name = $row['forum_name'];
Find (+/- Line 896):

Code: Select all

'U_VIEW_TOPIC'        => $view_topic_url,
Replace:

Code: Select all

'U_VIEW_TOPIC'        => format_url($topic_title, "t$result_topic_id"),

Find (+/- Line 897):

Code: Select all

'U_VIEW_FORUM'        => append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}viewforum.$phpEx", 'f=' . $forum_id),
Replace:

Code: Select all

'U_VIEW_FORUM'        => format_url($forum_name, "f$forum_id"),
Find (+/- Line 898):

Code: Select all

'U_VIEW_POST'        => (!empty($row['post_id'])) ? append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}viewtopic.$phpEx", "f=$forum_id&t=" . $row['topic_id'] . '&p=' . $row['post_id'] . (($u_hilit) ? '&hilit=' . $u_hilit : '')) . '#p' . $row['post_id'] : '')
            ));
Replace:

Code: Select all

'U_VIEW_POST'        => format_url($topic_title, "t$result_topic_id")
            )));
EDIT: fix this code too.
Find (+/- Line 797):

Code: Select all

'PAGINATION'        => topic_generate_pagination($replies, $view_topic_url),
Replace:

Code: Select all

'PAGINATION'        => topic_generate_seo_pagination($replies, format_url($row['topic_title'], 't' . $row['topic_id'], 0, false, false)),

better:

Code: Select all

'U_VIEW_POST'       => format_url($topic_title, "p".$row['post_id'])
so you will jump to the post direct...

I upgraded to phpbb 3.0 on the 10 th of Feb. I installed SEO mod on the 14 th. The very same day I started to use SEO mod I started to get problems on server - too many connction 1040. I have to restart server about 3-4 times per day. Obviously SEO mod or phpbb 3.0 adds a dimesnion of presure to my server. Anyone who can confirm either phpbb 3.0 or SEO mod is causing this overload?

I had to remove the copyright completely and have decided to replace it when the mod author releases an update to address this issue. It's a minor bug, but it ruins the look of the footer.
