phpBB3 doesn't log new user registrations natively? :shock:

That's a miss!

No.
But, in the acp it DOES log activations activated via the acp, along with group changes.

Well done.

I am very sure all file edits were clean and as they were shown. And the SQL was added without a problem.

Sorry for the maybe really obvious question....

I have no real experience in installing phpBB or any of it's mods but I have been able to update all the php Edits as above but do not know how to update the SQL section
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('log_new_user', '1', '0');
I access my database via 1&1 MySQL Administration Page/phpMyAdmin and I can locate the Table: phpbb_config.

When I select the "INSERT" tab I can add the details above but I need the FUNCTION value for config_name and is_dynamic. Shall I just leave these blank or select one of the predefined functions in the drop down box?

Oh, and how do I purge the sql cache

Thanks
Jonny

When in phpmyadmin you need the sql tab. Just copy and paste that command into the text area and then press the Go button.

Thanks David,

Got that added and tried a test registration. Nothing showed in the user log so I guess I still have to purge the cache, any ideas?

:oops: Ooops....just found it at the bottom of the ACP index page. I was looking in phpmyadmin.

Did another test registration and it works great! Thanks.
