Check you edits - there is one that must go after a "}" - if it goes before (which is easily done) the mod does not work.

Could you specify which file it might be in? I checked the functions_user.php file over again and didn't find a fault there.

in includes/acp/acp_board.php sould it be like this?

Code: Select all

'allow_birthdays'		=> array('lang' => 'ALLOW_BIRTHDAYS',		'validate' => 'bool',	'type' => 'radio:yes_no', 'explain' => true),
			// Log new user mod
						'log_new_user'			=> array('lang' => 'LOG_NEW_USER',			'validate' => 'bool',	'type' => 'radio:yes_no', 'explain' => true),

						'legend2'				=> 'ACP_LOAD_SETTINGS',
						'load_birthdays'		=> array('lang' => 'YES_BIRTHDAYS',			'validate' => 'bool',	'type' => 'radio:yes_no', 'explain' => true),
						'load_moderators'		=> array('lang' => 'YES_MODERATORS',		'validate' => 'bool',	'type' => 'radio:yes_no', 'explain' => false),

functions_user.php is the one that may have the problem.

The log entry is created in the User log when the new user registers not when the account is activated.

I activated in "site features" "Log new users", he registered a user and I do not appear on "maintenance" tab, "user registration". are other logs.
the user appears on the list of inactive users

I see that the code is put on condition (in functions_user.php)

Code: Select all

if ($user_row['user_type'] == USER_NORMAL)
Is right?

What may be the problem?

Hi David,

I installed your MOD and tried to register a test account. This is the result:
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions_user.php on line 297: Undefined index: log_new_user

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/nwtftm/public_html/includes/functions.php:2956) in /home/nwtftm/public_html/includes/functions.php on line 3599

The sql query had been performed successfully. Board mails are off, debug mode is on.

Regards
Wolfgang

edit: same error in ACP/board configuration/board settings

Hi Wolfgang

The only reason that I can think of that will generate that error is that either you do not have the variable "log_new_user" in the config table or that after you did the sql you did not purge the cache.

Hi David,

I manually purged the cache and now your MOD works fine. It's a bit strange because I enabled the automatic recompilation of obsolete style components in ACP.

Thanks for your MOD! :)
Wolfgang

Wolfgang - it is nothing to do with styles, you need to clear the cached version of the $config variables.
