WastedJoker wrote:Hello,

I've installed this mod (phpbb 3.05 and using the included install_modules.php - very easy :) ) and can see the FAQ Manager under the .MOD tab in ACP.

I can see an ability to edit faq and bbcode - is there a way to add a faq or must I simply edit the two existing ones?
There are ways to add FAQ items, but they do require some editing. Unfortunately I do not have a set of instructions on how to do it nor know where you can find a good set of them.

I believe there is a FAQ Rules mod that only adds a new FAQ page, so if you check that mod out you could figure out what places need to be edited (only edits to the faq.php and the new language file is needed) and such in order to add your own custom page (all of the language files prefixed with help_ are automatically editable by the FAQ Manager and will be displayed in the list, so no edits are needed in this mod).

You can add another faq (call it what you want) by downloading Rules page mod http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 9&t=753535 or Link page mod http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1697155. If you look at them you can make your own version very easily. A little hint, the link mod will soon include a step by step guide to create your own faq page. some facts have allready been revealed.

Both have a langauge files that can be seen in the faq manager just the same way as the faq and bbcode faq. This mod are really nice and i wouldnt like to be without it.

Now if there can be matching MODs made to do the same for TOU and Privacy Statements, that would be quite the suite :!:
Those are located in the ucp.php language files IIRC. You can edit them with the language editor that is built in to phpBB3.
Language Editor? Is that something new? I use phpBB 3.0.5 and can't find any language editors...

I have already installed this, and it's working great.

Without applying the mod again, If I upgrade from v3.0.4 to v3.0.5 will this MOD continue to work.

Thanks in advance.

In the ACP, Click on the System Tab, then Aminstration Control Panel.

If you dont have .mod tab allready.. (you can name as you please mines .mod)

Create a new module.

Then within that module you just created. Pull down the Box to left off the add module button and locate the FAQ Manager, select it and click the add module button.

You will then need to activate it. you can then click on .mod tab and then FAQ Manager :)

Hi

in public_html/store I do not have the faq_backup folder. I created one myself and uploaded the files appropriately. Now accessing the acp module gives me the error:
Language file ./../language/en_us/mods/faq_manager.php couldn't be opened.

Please help!

IIRC the mod instructions tell you to change the permissions to some folders.
My mods in MODDB:
Add Homepage link in header - Change user activity post limit - Post number in viewtopic
If you need support click on the support tab there and post your question.
Do not PM me - chances of viewing my PMs are way thinner than viewing the support question in the customization DB...
