Yeah I am an idiot. I figured out what the problem was. To abate the ensuing laughter at my dumb self I am going to refrain from saying what it was that I did (not) do..

Thanks for a great script!

Thanks

I've the same Problem with this plugin. I've just installed it on a PHPBB 3.0.0 Gold.
I've made the stylechanges.

Users can change theír gender. The database is saving it correctly.
But there are no genter-texts or -images shown.

In viewtopic it is saying "Gender:". The gender-image or -text is missing.
See it at: http://www.kranios.de/viewtopic.php?f=3 ... &sk=t&sd=a

Thank you, this solves my problem.

Perhaps you should mention that in the installation-manual.

Can there be an easy way to hide the Gender field all together if they have not specified?

Also I would like to show it on the registration page... not make it required.. just show giving all 3 options

Open: includes/functions_genders.php

Find:

Code: Select all

		default:
			$gender = 'gender_x';
Replace with:

Code: Select all

		default:
			return false;
That should work.

Edit: Problem solved. Missed some template edits. Please write better instructions, not separate ones.

I'm working on it.
It's already working with Genders 0.1.3 but I need to diff my files and check for changes ;)
Keep checking this, I'm pretty sure I'll release it today :)

Update:
Released ;)

some questions or maybe enhancements

1- Can each gender have thier own Ranks.
Explain: for Male : infant, boy, man, Father, grandfather.
For Female: infant, girl, lady, Mother, Grandmother.

2- Can each gender access (read or write) a specific Forums
Explain: Forums specific for Male, Forums specific for Female and Forums for both.
