hi all!
i can't hard delete posts and i don't know why :oops:
i thought it's a problem depending on the language files -> i tried to fix that and deleted the old language files and uploaded the whole folder again.
the necessary lines in the permissions_phpbb.php looks like this:

Code: Select all

	'acl_m_delete'		=> array('lang' => 'Can soft delete posts', 'cat' => 'post_actions'),
	'acl_m_harddelete'	=> array('lang' => 'Can hard delete posts', 'cat' => 'post_actions'),
	'acl_f_delete'		=> array('lang' => 'Can soft delete own posts', 'cat' => 'actions'),
the permissions-settings looks like that:

if i try to delete a shadow topic in the mcp, i'll get the following message:
You do not have the necessary permissions to complete this operation.
help me please :cry:

Post by post....

Mentioned it earlier. I was wondering the same thing. Most cases, your not going to delete the topic and restore it. Most of the time it will be a select post or two.

Lol, you do not have to delete it post by post...

Click delete topic, and go back into it and click delete topic again. :mrgreen:

Yes, that is why the contrib/install_phpBB300.xml exists. That line changed in 3.0.1.

By default, hard delete should be disabled for everyone. The ability to use hard delete can be changed by setting the correct permissions (assuming you installed the mod correctly). The setting is under "Global moderator permissions" in the first tab ("Post actions"):

The installation instructions are in the first post in this topic in the downloadable ZIP file. Unzip its contents, and open install.xml in a browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera...). :)
