This mod is based off of the FAQ Management mod. It has an ACP module for editing the rules and faq and bbcode help pages. I recommend installing the FAQ Management mod after this one so that you can use that mod for doing the editing. It has a newer version.

It's this.

Open: viewonline.php

Find:

Code: Select all

case 'faq':
      $location = $user->lang['VIEWING_FAQ'];
      $location_url = append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}faq.$phpEx");
break;
Replace with:

Code: Select all

case 'faq':
      if (strpos($row['session_page'], 'mode=rules') !== false)
      {
            $location = $user->lang['RULES_PAGE'];
            $location_url = append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}faq.$phpEx", 'mode=rules');
            break;
      }
      $location = $user->lang['VIEWING_FAQ'];
      $location_url = append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}faq.$phpEx");
break;

I can't get this MOD to work. I do everything that is stated in the instructions but I get this error:
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3391: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /language/en/common.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3393: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /language/en/common.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3394: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /language/en/common.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3395: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /language/en/common.php:1)
[*]I already used notepad+ to save it in the correct manner, but this doesn't work.
[*]I uploaded with an FTP program in ASCII mode
[*]Followed the instructions
[*]Refreshed cache etc.

Is there someone who can maybe help me one day with this who I can add on MSN?

The instructions given are not working for me, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

FYI: the XML for the themes is poorly formatted and is not viewable in Firefox. You need to use IE (ugh!) to view the file.

Without seeing what you are looking at: This mod is still setup under the older modx format. That format worked until browsers changed some of the rules. If the author converts the install to the newest version of modx, the problem would go away. But, that is not a requirement unless the author submits the mod again.

Thank you for this nice mod!

Is there any way that I can hide rules for non registered users or for users who have not been logged in?

You need to add the rules link in Overall Header the same way that other hidden links are

Put it between these tags:

<!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN -->

<!-- ENDIF -->

I find no such entry in ACP 3.0.2. Are you using version 2 or am I just looking in the wrong area? I find no "Language Entries" under the System tab; only "Language packs" and there is no selection options for Forum Rules.
