Try to copy the language file from /language/en/mods/ to /language/en_us/mods/ folder.

Oh, sorry, I've just noticed - there's no mods/quickreply.php language file in this MOD. Are you sure you're using namely this one?

installer does not work with phbb installations with big number of users,
I have about 17k users and and its been about 30 minutes and install.php is still running
luckily I have forum on dedicated server and have increased script proccessing time and memory otherwise it would halted already but I still doubt it will finish

will it work if I execute sql directly instead of running install.php file?
if so can you please post sql to run?
as I understand all I have to do is update entries for user options?

if I change all values of user options column from 2943 to 895?
will that work?

UPDATE:

I solved it.
I first changed code in install.php to run it for admin users ONLY.

Code: Select all

	$sql = 'UPDATE ' . USERS_TABLE . " SET user_options = $value WHERE user_type IN (" . USER_FOUNDER . ', ' . USER_FOUNDER . ')';
	echo $sql ;
this way module installer would run.

and then manually updated all user options with sql from within NONE PHP sql managmenet client.
for example navicat.

I changed user type back to be regular and founder.
user_type IN (0,3)

my sql was:

Code: Select all

UPDATE phpbb_users SET user_options = 2943 WHERE user_type IN (0, 3)
quick reply shows upalthough its on top of a post instead of buttom but that's not a big deal, I can changed that .

my questions is there anything else I need to do?

Yes, that's why I've created "fixed" version mentioned at the start of the topic here ;)

That's because of mistake in the MOD installation. There're 2 entries of the code of viewtopic_body.html where you place "include quick_reply.html" after, and you've placed it after the first one instead of the second :)

I'm not sure what else to do if it works now, but you might need to take a look at the ACP Quick reply module to make some settings if it's needed.

I'm having a problem.
First, I'm using a different theme than prosilver, so should I just do everything in that theme?
If so, I can't find the line: "<!-- IF not postrow.U_POST_AUTHOR --><strong>{postrow.POST_AUTHOR_FULL}</strong><!-- ELSE -->{postrow.POST_AUTHOR_FULL}<!-- ENDIF -->"
In styles/prosilver(Which is really my theme, xtreme red)/template/viewtopic_body.html

How do I do this so it works with my theme?

Actually, it's depending on what stock style your custom style is based on. If xtreme red is based on subsilver2, try to use /templates/subsilver2.xml additional installation instruction for it ;)

I told amantonas to post that.

The files that won't work are:

styles/prosilver/template/viewtopic_body.html
styles/prosilver/template/ucp_prefs_view.html

I am not doing them in prosilver, seeing as I want them done on another theme. The theme I can provide a link for, if needed.

Any other pieces that needed to be done in prosilver, I did in X-Treme Red (my theme)

Please help.

Sorry for double post, but I noticed your post.

I located that file, and am wondering if I do that by itself, or do the normal guida, and then this guide you just said after that.

So 2 installations or 1?

This way, yes. Since, as I said before, subsilver2.xml is additional thing.
But, for sure, if you don't use prosilver or prosilver-based styles at all, you can drop the part of the main installation instruction related to prosilver edits.

It's ok :)
Let's try to clarify it more.
If you install the MOD on subsilver2 (or based on it) style, you don't apply prosilver template edits to it.

but i still have to do the normal guide that is in the olympus folder. then skip the prosilver stuff in that. go to subsilver2 guide, do all that.

is that right?

and when do we do install.php then? after subsilver2 guide is done?
