Kalipo wrote:Fantastic MOD.

Two questions...

1. How to make both internal & external open in a new window/tab?

2. How would I add an external link image to the external links?
Open includes/prime_links.php and you will see a bunch of defines toward the top. To set a target for internal links, change the value of INTERNAL_LINK_TARGET. To have external links to images classified as external links, make sure SKIP_IMAGES is set to false.

It's a good mod indeed. But however i've install him, cause i have got problems with the bbcode in a special url, and i still have the same problem with this mod.

Example:
http://download.manganimeworld.com/down ... 26CD7].mkv

Can u make this link work in your mod??

the problem is the [ ] charachters

EDIT: I have found in ABBC3 a bbcode named [rapidshare] [/rapidshare] and it works this link in this :)
But if u can added in your mod... it will be excellent.

best regards

Prime, after adding a few mods including this one, all img tags are being posted as flash.

I'm not blaming this one, but have you heard of it on this mod before?

I don't know yet, I don't really have the time to look into this right now.

I have installed the plug-in and it seems to be half working and half not working. My forum is on phpbb 3.0.1 currently.

I installed prime_links.php and did the modification to be able to alter the color scheme. I also modified my themes colours.css file. An I did the specified modification in functions_content.php.

The links are now output as follows:

Code: Select all

internal
<a href="http://www.coolthaihouse.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=13" class="postlink-local">
http://www.coolthaihouse.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=13</a>

external
<a href="http://www.yahoo.com" class="postlink" onclick="this.target='_blank';" rel="nofollow">http://www.yahoo.com</a>
The external links now appear in a new window and the internal links appear in the same window.

What I thought would happen is that the internal links would be displayed in abbreviated fashion such as http://www.example.com/aninternallink would display as aninternallink. Is this correct? On my site the long link is displayed.

Also the color scheme doesn't correctly get picked up for the external 'postlink' links and I am not sure why. The colours file has been changed and I have refreshed the style via the admin panel.

You can see how the links look from my site here:
http://www.coolthaihouse.com/forum/view ... &sk=t&sd=a

I know I have something hosed somewhere any help is greatly appreciated. Are there any other files which need to be changed?

My MOD doesn't change the text of the link. All that is up to the board.

The styling inside prime_links.css should take precedence over previous styling, as it should be the last style sheet to be encountered (added right before the "</head>" code). When I view the source of your page, I don't see prime_links.css referenced anywhere.

I downloaded a previous version from the top of this post I believe. :) Anyway, the most recent version I take it now should be 1.2.1 which I have downloaded.

I love the animated gif, nice touch. I think it is working correctly now, I was a little confused before about the color of the link, like if I hover over the internal link it turns red, when I try to add the same color to the hover of the external link it doesn't act the same, it highlights the entire URL probably by design.

Anyway, great Mod and thanks for getting right back to me. It is perfect timing because I'm just testing this prior to installing 3.0.2. :D

How i will colorize the links and make them like the old ones in phpbb original

as example i want it green as default and when i roll over becomes red with transparent rectangular and underline.

What to edit, what to add ?

You specify the link classes in prime_links.php, then you apply styling to those classes in the CSS file, either the default one or the included one assuming you installed the Style Links add-on.

Sorry, I really don't have time to help customize styles for everyone. Just do a google search for CSS tutorial. It's pretty simple so should take only a bit of reading.
