There is no ACP settings, all settings are located in the prime_links.php file.

I am tryingto change the color of my external links but it is not working. I put this in my stylesheet.css file but it didn't do anything. Any help is appreciated.

Code: Select all

a.postlink_external:link, a.postlink_external:visited {
color:#0000FF;
text-decoration:none;
}

a.postlink_external:focus, a.postlink_external:hover, a.postlink_external:active {
color:#FF0000;
text-decoration:underline;
}

Hi Stitch625,

did you look at the generated XHTML source code? Do external links have the class "postlink_external"?

If yes, the CSS file is not uploaded or you should purge your browser's cache. Or, when your style is database based, you have to purge your theme's cache in ACP/styles. Please purge the complete cache, too. (Just to be on the safe side.)

If the answer is no, you have to adjust prime_links.php (-> define('EXTERNAL_LINK_CLASS' ...) and upload the file ;)

Regards
Wolfgang

Thank you for your reply WG but I don't think I understand what I have to do in the Prime_links.php file :?:

Are those classes supposed to be in the Prime_links.css file? That is where I have them.

Thanks

Hi Stitch625,

in prime_links.php you must have:

Code: Select all

	define('EXTERNAL_LINK_CLASS', 'postlink_external');
(Somewhere around line 47.)

Now to the second part: Do you already include Prime_links.css? You can do so by putting the following line into your overall_header.html

Code: Select all

<link href="/path/to/Prime_links.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen, projection" />
right before

Code: Select all

</head>
Please adjust "/path/to/" to the location of the .css file. And please note that names (like Prime_links.css) are case sensitiv.

Alternative: Put the css rules for the class postlink_external into a css file that gets always included (if your style is based on subsilver2, just put the rules into stylesheet.css). Repeat this for every style you have.

And probably you will have to purge all caches you can find within 35 yards. :)

Regards
Wolfgang

AHH yes!!!!

Thank you very much Wolfgang :D

The only thing I was missing was the prime_links.php code. I didn't have it set up right but I did have everything else correct.

Thank you very much, it all works now.

There is a problem with theme/prime_links/prime_links.css
In order to have it included, you need to edit stylesheet.css and add:

Code: Select all

@import url("prime_links/prime_links.css");
In addition you can customize theme/prime_links/prime_links.css such as:

Code: Select all

.postlink {
	background-image:url({T_THEME_PATH}/prime_links/window.gif);
	background-repeat:no-repeat;
	background-position:right center;
	padding-right:16px;
}

.postlink:hover {
	background-image:url({T_THEME_PATH}/prime_links/window_a.gif);
	background-repeat:no-repeat;
	background-position:right center;
	padding-right:16px;
}

.postlink-local {
	font-weight:bold;
}

.pdf_link, .pdf_link:hover {
	background:url({T_THEME_PATH}/prime_links/pdf.gif) no-repeat right center;
	padding-right:14px;
}

@potiron,

The edit in the overall_header.html have the path already, no need to add import url anymore. :?

Code: Select all

<link href="{T_THEME_PATH}/prime_links/prime_links.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

Hi, Great mod, one question...

I have EXTERNAL_LINK_PREFIX set to anonym.to, and it works fine throughout the forum.
I also installed the Prime Links Supplement: User Website Links.

The User website links open in a new tab/window, but they don't go through anonym.to.
Is this a expected action?
Is there a easy fix so they do?
Many thanks.
