have you looked at viewtopic_body.html of that style? - you'll see it's based on prosilver.

Is there anyway to disable the smilies? I just want BBCodes and the reply box. I checked the settings but there was no option for smilies.

TurtleX: for prosilver based style -

Open quickreply_body.html
Find

Code: Select all

         <div id="smiley-box">
            <!-- IF .smiley -->
               <strong>{L_SMILIES}</strong><br />
               <!-- BEGIN smiley -->
                  <a href="#" onclick="insert_text('{smiley.A_SMILEY_CODE}', true); return false;"><img src="{smiley.SMILEY_IMG}" width="{smiley.SMILEY_WIDTH}" height="{smiley.SMILEY_HEIGHT}" alt="{smiley.SMILEY_CODE}" title="{smiley.SMILEY_DESC}" /></a>
               <!-- END smiley -->
            <!-- ENDIF -->
            <!-- IF S_SHOW_SMILEY_LINK -->
               <br /><a href="{U_MORE_SMILIES}" onclick="window.open('{U_MORE_SMILIES}', '_phpbbsmilies', 'HEIGHT=350,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,WIDTH=300'); return false;">{L_MORE_SMILIES}</a>
            <!-- ENDIF -->
         </div>
Replace with for subsilver2 based, you may have to remove a good chunk of code from line 70 to line 87, if not all.

I've problem which folows:

I want pictures that have to large dimensions to get resized. I've used the Tamzi di Tihli MOD for that, but the code for resizing is almost the same in all resizing MODS:

the beggining of viewtopic_body.html

Code: Select all

<script>
    window.onload = tamzi;
    function tamzi()
    {
       if (document.getElementsByTagName)
       {
	/* Change the folowing 2 values to fit your needs
		mxwidth is the maximum width image should not bypass
		newidth is the desired width you wish images to be resized to
	*/
		  var mxwidth = 520;
		  var newidth = 500;

		  for (i=0; i<document.getElementsByTagName('img').length; i++)
          {
             im = document.getElementsByTagName('img')[i];
             if (im.width > mxwidth)
             {
                var roundto;
				var ratio = im.width/im.height;

				im.style.width = +newidth+'px';

				var newheight = Math.round(newidth / ratio);

				im.style.height = +newheight+'px';
             }
          }
       }
    }
</script>
I've spent a lot of time to get resize to work, I've asked Tamzi di Tihli author for a fix and he got involved a lot in that issue, but we get to nowhere. Then I've just tried to comment out the line in viewtopic_body.html that includes quickreply.... and woosh - resizing worked!

But I don't want my board to run without Advanced Quick Reply...
So could anyone or the MOD author find the solution for that issue? Why quick reply disables the code i've posted above? Please help me.

prasham wrote:Hi Guys,

While I have already installed the mod a few months back, I had changed the theme from Prosilver to Green Grass.

Now how do i install it in new theme?
follow the prosilver.xml instructions, editing the 2 files (viewtopic_body.html and editor.js) in the styles/greengrass/template folder. also remember to copy the 2 files from the MOD's templates/prosilver/template folder into the greengrass/template folder as well.

simply, you are making the same changes to greengrass as you did for prosilver. ;)

denu,

Don't worry about the first edit to the viewtopic_body.html file. The MOD will work without it, as long as you have the <!-- INCLUDE quickreply_body.html --> line included.

momentum thanks for reply, but my problem is that resizing images doesn't work with Advanced Quick reply. AQR works just fine.

I can only think that the problem is related to having two different javascript modules running on the same template file. (resize & quickreply)

Unfortunately I have no idea how to even go about testing to find out if this really is the problem.

Clear your cache manually (use your FTP client and empty the cache directory of everything except the .htaccess & index.htm files) then see if the error message is the same.

Done. But the same error persists. Please help.

Let me explain you the entire thing...

Few weeks back I downloaded this mod and installed it on my then default style (prosilver). It was working alright.

Then i changed the style. Now I want to install Quick Reply again. I have uploaded all the necessary files and have made modifications in editor.js, viewtopic_body.html & viewtopic.php.

Just as a matter of interest, have you ever attempted to install any other quick reply MOD?
