The answer to your question has already been answered before you asked. Not at the moment. The author is going to see about providing a function to allow a topic to be the announcement. That would allow you to use the forum permissions to allow anyone you want to edit that post.

formatting.... This may be a short cut for some users to formatting info in the ACP Announcement Centre.

I have not played with it yet, so don't beat me up to bad, but the centre supports BBC. In the ACP you can create your own custom BBC and choose to display it or not to display it on the post page.

Why not create a special BBC code with all the html formatting you want, and then just insert it in your announcements? I guess the question is does the centre use its own method of translating BBC or does it use the forum to do it?

To bad I have to go to work now, or I would play with this and let you know right now.

For those who wants other users able to post announcements, lefty74, why not move it to UCP or MCP but make it show up there only if administrator allowed that user/group to access it. Just a suggestion .... I know it looks weird to be in UCP but .......

I have currently no intention to change the location of the module. this was always meant to be for administrators of the board. with the addition of the last/first post possibility like i had it on my phpbb2 version of this mod, most people should be able to use it for that purpose of allowing others to make annoucnements...

One option, while not as visible as the AC might be, is just allow a person to make global announcements. Then it will appear as seperated at the top of all forums in the board instead of just in the forum where the post was made.

I am also using this: (modified)
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 2&t=842715
To place single and multi post topic names on my home page.

Single Example:
http://www.yumabassman.com/#freelures

Multi Example:
http://www.yumabassman.com/#recent

I have been trying to use it also to do so within the forum header, but I am having some trouble trying to figure it out that way. It looks like I am having some trouble figuring out the relative paths when using it that way, and also figureing what to NOT do in the add on script.
