The only file I did not copy over is the: modx.prosilver.en
because there's no mention of it in the install file, so didnt know where it had to go.. if it had to go anywhere.

Either you did not copy the language file to the correct place or you have not done all of the edits correctly.

I have no personal experience with that template but looking at your site it is based on prosilver so you should not have any problems with this mod.

Though I get the "Show disclaimer" option in the ACP, and it works when I toggle it, but instead of the Disclamer text, I get the following text in the footer:

{ DISCLAIMER } :
{ DISCLAIMER_TEXT }

Where could be the bug? Great Thanks in advance.

Looks as if you have not done the language file edits.

But I couldn't find any edits mentioned in the language file:

david63
Name:
David Wood

Files to Edit
includes/functions.php,
includes/acp/acp_board.php,
styles/prosilver/template/overall_footer.html

Included Files
root/install_add_disclaimer.php,
root/language/en/mods/info_acp_add_disclaimer.php

It only speaks of copying the file to the language directory:
File Copy

Copy: root/install_add_disclaimer.php
To: install_add_disclaimer.php

Copy: root/language/en/mods/info_acp_add_disclaimer.php
To: language/en/mods/info_acp_add_disclaimer.php

Even in the Install.xml, I cuoldn't see any language file edit. Kindly help me in case I am missing something.

Thanks a ton!

Firstly will you edit your previous post to remove my email address.

Either you have not uploaded the language file correctly or you have not done the edit correctly in includes/functions.php. Have yoy tried purging the cache?

Yes sir!

(removed your email id, sorry for that)

I purged the cache and refreshed the prosilver theme as well.

I think there is some problem with the definition of "DISCLAIMER" and "DISCLAIMER_TEXT"(as the footer and not taking the values, and showing the variable name instead) . If you can tell me where are these two things getting defined, I can focus there.

Or, if that also fails, I will do the entire process once again and get back.

Thanks a lot!

I would check your edits in functions.php - that is almost certainly where your problem lies.

Below is my functions.php section with the edits. Kindly see if it is fine. (Also, I have installed "Post Anonymously" MOD installed. Do you think that could be a reason for the error? Thanks.)

You have got the

Code: Select all

$user->add_lang('mods/info_acp_add_disclaimer');
in the wrong place - it should be after

Code: Select all

$debug_output .= ' | <a href="' . build_url() . '&explain=1">Explain</a>';
}
}
and where you have it - after

Code: Select all

$debug_output .= ' | Memory Usage: ' . $memory_usage;
}
}
