For me, PHPBB needs changes, modernization. only the style would be done on some well-known, constantly supported framework.
This couldn't be more vague lol

My English is not good. My point is that phpBB needs changes, modernization. The style should be based on some good framework.
His point is: your comments are so common, general and not specific that they could mean everyhing and nothing at the same time.
In this topic hanakin asks for specific feedback, it is not helpful to say "make it look better".

I'm not so sure, I don't see the new theme being ready for a long time as it will need testing first and someone would also have to add any of the new themes features that are controlled in the ACP into Prosilver.
The classes used in the new style templates are going to be a lot different to the classes in Prosilver so new and old extension developers would also have extra work to do to make their extensions work with 2 styles.
In an ideal world phpBB 4 should have only the new style to represent a new era.
Most of the style changes earmarked for Prosilver (as seen live on Area51) like the new icons should be introduced into phpBB 3.4.0 instead just to keep it updated until phpBB 3 reaches EOL.

Hopefully there will be more positivity regarding the new style now as that accommodation should keep all users happy.
@Hanakin the forumlist loading seems much smoother over at Blizzard when using the FireFox browser so it's all good.

An idea. If extension developers don't want to be overwhelmed by two styles with different classes they can stop relaying on the classes present in the style and start using custom ones that way the extension will work on both styles no problem. I know it's not the best idea but if you have a lot of extensions that appear on the front end and you start the transition now it won't be that big of a deal i think.

Out with the old in with the new. IMO if the requirement is to keep a prosilver type style it should be offered as an official style release not as part of the download package and should be maintained in a similar way to that of prosilver_se in present versions.

Extensions would just need a chameleon style directory with templates and css created for the Chameleon style.
It should be a piece of cake. We already have the prosilver files created and in place.
Outstanding work on the Chameleon style guys, it's looking very professional. Love it!

Just to accent an attention 1 more time, Chameleon is not like current plain code style and extension developers won't be able to extend it as it is now with prosilver. Specially developed tool will be required to build/compile extension styles events/code stuff (the tool doesn't exist yet afaik).
Having this in mind, I wouldn't want prosilver to be got out of the phpBB distribution package at least for 4.0 lifetime.
