Very nice work, it is refreshing to see clean UI, whitespace, and re-designed components make their way into the freebie community :)

Thanks to you all! :D

I agree that the freebie community is lacking some styles that go further than simply changing the colorways of prosilver. Also, I must say, I really admire your work at PlanetStyles!

Update:

The most visible update since last time is the new read/unread-topic icons. They are handcrafted vector images that look pixel-perfect on any device and screen. Here is a peak:

Image

Other updates include:
  • Profile pages are now fully responsive
  • Redesigned postbit statistics
  • Cleaned up advanced search
  • Made a toggle-based search bar in the navigation
  • Made postbit switch from left-row to top-column on small devices
  • Added green online-dot in user profiles and user postbit
  • Added a default "no avatar"-avatar, made with CSS and Font Awesome
  • Redesigned the jQuery popup, and fixed it to the bottom of the viewport

Nice and clean!
Thank you!

Update:
The style is really starting to shape up. There are still tweaks that have to be made, and some few pages that are less pretty than they ideally should be, but since most major components are ready I have decided to release the first downloadable version of Apatite. It can be downloaded from here. It is still not tested with any modifications, so I would not advise using it for non-testing forums.

Great work so far, well done. :)
Just a glitch I am observing that is located at the "active topics" search feature, with "polls" in this case.

Changing flex-direction: row; to flex-direction: column; seems to fix the issue.

Code: Select all

ul.topiclist dt .list-inner {
	margin-right: 440px;
	padding-left: 5px;
	padding-right: 5px;
	display: flex;
	flex-direction: column;
}

Edit: that perhaps will conflict with all the rest though.

Thank you, I appreciate that, and thanks for pointing out an issue that I hadn't at all noticed!

The problem is that I have altered the code for how forum icons (as in the images for 'New Posts', 'No New Posts' etc) work, and forgot to implement it to the advanced search results. Without an icon to show, the thread title and author got kind of messed up. This is now fixed, and will not be an issue in the upcoming bug-fix-release.

Forum Icons not displaying correctly:
This is due to a silly mistake from my side, linking to a image URL specific for my test forum's folder setup. This should be easily fixed by opening forumlist_body.html and replace line 51

Code: Select all

<img src="styles/two/theme/icons/icons-new/{forumrow.FORUM_IMG_STYLE}.svg">
with

Code: Select all

<img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/icons/icons-new/{forumrow.FORUM_IMG_STYLE}.svg">
I noticed the same problem in viewforum_body.html, in line 166 replace

Code: Select all

<img src="styles/two/theme/icons/icons-new/{topicrow.TOPIC_IMG_STYLE}.svg">
with

Code: Select all

<img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/icons/icons-new/{topicrow.TOPIC_IMG_STYLE}.svg">
Quick Reply Width & Text Editor Width
Am I correct in assuming that you are using two modifications here, one for displaying attachment uploads in quick reply and one to get an extended BBCode text editor? If so, could you either share the links to those two modifications, or alternatively send me a link to your forum while having Apatite as the active style?

QuickReply Reloaded

Thank you!

Advanced BBCode Box
The problem here lies in that Apatite uses a 100% width text editor, while the extension has set a max width of 80%. This can be solved by opening /ext/vse/abbc3/styles/all/theme/abbc3_posting.min.css, finding .abbc3_buttons_row and removing width: 80%;

QuickReply Reloaded
If you want the attachment box and quick-reply box side by side, I recommend doing the following:

First, I suggest deleting the left area of the quick reply in Apatite, where the logo of the posting user is displayed. To do that, open quickreply_editor.html and delete the following.

Code: Select all

<dl class="post-profile responsive-hide" id="profile1906">
	<dt class="has-profile-rank has-avatar">
		<div class="post-avatar-area">
			<a href="./memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=74" class="post-avatar">
				{CURRENT_USER_AVATAR}
			</a>
		</div>
	</dt>
</dl>
Then, open content.css and find .post-content at line 1249. Replace .post-content and its code with the following:

Code: Select all

.post-content {
	display: inline-block;
	float: right;
	block-size: auto;
	flex: 1;
	flex-grow: 10;
	background-color: var(--content-background-color);
	padding: 20px;
	border: 1px solid hsla(0, 0%, 50.2%, .2);
	min-width: 70%;
	margin-right: 5px;
}

There is no such file in this extension.

Ah, I meant to say that you should delete it from the Apatite style templates, that is, /styles/apatite/template/quickreply_editor.html.
