NiceBoardGuy wrote:I really love this mod, thanks a lot :) I tested it and it works like a charme. I just would love to exclude some forums from the check, cause it seems strange in certain forums (like the user introducing forum, everybody deserves his own thread there :D )

Is this feature planned?

Have you done this:
Author notes:

Currently, this only works with the Fulltext Native search backend. If you don't see a list of topics when you attempt to post (or preview) a new topic and you're sure that the subject contains words found in other topics, then you may need to re-index your search table. This can be done from the Maintenance section of the ACP. If you are still not seeing what you expect, then go through this checklist:
[*] Make sure you are using the Fulltext native search backend, and not the Fulltext mySQL search backend.[/color][/b]
[*] If you're an admin or moderator, turn off the admin and moderator bypass options.
[*] The words may be common. Try setting the Common word threshold in the search settings to zero.
[*] See if the words are in the list of ignored words (search_ignore_words.php).
[*] If you have it set to check only active topics, try turning this off.
[*] If the minimum post count is set, see if you have more than that number of posts.

Just one question:

Do I have to re-index my search table every time a new topic is published?

Because I create a topic and then for a test I tryed to create a new topic with same subject and the mod haven't warned me, that the same topic already exist.
Don't forget to clear cache, refresh template, theme and imageset, double check all files :)

You shouldn't have to re-index after every topic post.

Hi,

great mod! Unfortunately I'm using the Fulltext MySQL index. Is there a way to make your MOD work with this index method or is there another one who can if yours can't? It's a pity, I could really need such a check in my forums...

cheers, R.

If somebody has written a way to do it, they haven't shared it with me yet.

Another test and it's not working right.

I enter the same topic name as the topic posted 3 days ago has - it didn't show me a warning of the same sbject!

What could be wrong?

In the author notes section of the installation instructions there is a list of things to check for.

Maybe it wasn't installed properly, or maybe it is conflicting with another MOD.
