hi,

in chinese, the search igonre word list will be no use if you set the igonre word list like this:

Code: Select all

$words = array(
	'外掛', //more then one chinese word in an element
i used to mod the file like this to stop subject check for "外掛" as it's one of my topic-type-tags, but it's not working.

then i change it to this and it works:

Code: Select all

$words = array(
	'外',
	'掛',
but another problem came up when i set it like this - the forum search function will igonre those words too. That will igorne all the topics with "外掛" tag in the search result. So at the end i did a small modification to your mod to fix it.

I copy the original search_ignore_words.php and save as a new file called prime_search_ignore_words.php in the same place as search_ignore_words.php. Then I add the words that i want to igonre for the subject check but not in the forum search only in the prime_search_ignore_words.php.

Then I change this part in the prime_subject_check.php form:

Code: Select all

				if (file_exists("{$user->lang_path}/search_ignore_words.$phpEx"))
				{
					include("{$user->lang_path}/search_ignore_words.$phpEx");
					$ignore_words_array = &$words;
				}
to this:

Code: Select all

				if (file_exists("{$user->lang_path}/prime_search_ignore_words.$phpEx"))
				{
					include("{$user->lang_path}/prime_search_ignore_words.$phpEx");
					$ignore_words_array = &$words;
				}
and both the mod and the forum search works fine. And I think for japanese and koren will be the same.
Hope it helps for your future release.

BTW. I love your mods, i got to translate all of them to chinese someday.

Any chance to make it work with mysql search? Fulltext native is way too big for me, it occupies more than 100 MB of my database, while mysql one is not even 10...

It'd be difficult for me to do it since I can't use mysql search. If someone else can come up with the code to do so then I'd be happy to include it.

Prime, is it possible to check if a user has permission to read topics in the forum in the results, if the user has no read access don't show that as a result..

I just tested, and it seems to work fine whether I'm in a root forum or a sub-forum.

Yeah, that should be simple enough to add.

Hello. First of all great mod, it's very helpful :)
I have a problem with this mod in conjunction with Almsamim's WYSIWYG Editor. I keep getting an error when trying to post a message saying that this post has too few characters, even if there is no such limit on my forum and even if i've written lots of text. I've managed to nail it down to this script: prime_subject_check.js
Do you have any ideea how it could interfere with the number of characters in the posting editor?

Thanks in advance

I'll be sure to try this mod right after one question. If you enable it, will it enable board wide, or just for specific forums? I'm really hoping you can chose which forum to enable it for.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the Almsamim WYSIWYG Editor, so I probably can't be much help.

There are additional installation instructions if you want to enable it on a per-forum basis.

I have the same problem. Anybody has a solution?

I believe that was fixed in version 1.4.8.
