But I can only get it to work when viewing with IE7 also on a subsilver based theme :(

It doesnt display anything on my site when viewing with Firefox3, but when I view your demo site it displays correctly.

Thanks
Gavo, his demo web site is prosilver based. So as many mods in development and not approved, author did either not test it at all on a subsilver style or want his mods to remain on the development queue forever.

Version1.4.5
  • Fixed an bug that caused the AJAX feature to not work on subsilver2-based styles.
To update, copy over the new prime_subject_check.js file.

Thx a lot that 1.4.5 fix did solve all issues.

BTW for people wanting the message to be displayed directly under subject on a subsilver base style:

instead of adding the line
<!-- INCLUDE prime_subject_check.html -->
before
<!-- IF S_SHOW_ATTACH_BOX or S_SHOW_POLL_BOX -->
insert it before
<tr>
<td class="row1" valign="top"><b class="genmed">{L_MESSAGE_BODY}

Alright.... i've double checked my edits, purged all caches and I dont see it. or working in posting. I ran the db_install just fine.

I installed using the install link on the first post of this thread. seems I can not view the install.xml in the download.... isn't there an xml file or two missing?

Everything is there. Did you unzip everything? Perhaps your browser security settings are too high?

Only to do this above when I want to update from v1.4.4 to v1.4.5

For whatever reason, I can not view the install.xml file even if join it with the modx.prosilver.en. file. but if the instructions in the link you provide in the first post of this thread is good, then I suppose it doesn't matter.

Not sure why its not showing up in my ACP. someone said "posting optins" I looked under the posting tab and the "post options" link in ACP. I don't see it.

Hey,

I've found a bug in this modification.
I've turned the bypass option 'on', but when posting SOME topics (not all, it must be something with the title) by clicking on submit, they're just getting the message that their is found another topic again. They can press as much as they want on the submit button, it just displays the message again and it won't post it.

This is one example of a topic title that won't work:
[Ideé] Nieuw Forumdeel in Runescape [/ideé]
EDIT:
Someone else just told me he has the same problem...sometimes it works, sometimes not.
We're both using the "control each forum" function.

EDIT:
Also, this mod only works if I use the native search method. If I use mysql, it doesn't work.

Prime, i can comfirm this, the mod is not working for 98% off the time.., sometimes it finds a topic with the same titles included,sometimes not,most of the time the check is not working for some reason..

my settings:
Enable subject check: yes
bypass settings: if there is no exact match
enable strict modus: yes
Open topics in a new window:yes
admin bypass: no
moderator bypass: no
check clossed topics:yes
check all forums: yes
show forum names: yes
maxmium topics to be showed: 5
postcount: 0
check topics that where activ within these days: 0
----------------------------------------------------------
note: i got the subject check per forum enabled in the (sub)forum settings.

//edit:
my search index is using both methods if that would matter..

my php version
PHP Version 5.2.6
Client API version 5.0.22
