I didn't check if my MOD make degradation for users of SQLite 2.0...

SQLite 3.0+ for UNIX didn't checked too...
Test of SQLite 2.0 degradation passed. NO degradation, OK! 8-)

Final is not a development stage. Update your topic title to reflect the real state of your MOD or submit it for validation. This forum is not allowed to be used as release forum.

You are distributing a pre modded phpBB 3 with your MOD, that is not allowed.

The file sqlite3.dlls.zip don't contain any MODX install file and is not correctly packaged. There is no mention about any license. Take a look here, http://www.phpbb.com/mods/policies/general.php and update your MOD accordingly.

There is non-standard MOD. It's reasonably to use the MOD for a new forum installation, or for upgrade forums from SQLite 2.0+ to SQLite 3.0+. Second variant is very complicated for user, for experts only. This is a reason for distributing full package of phpBB, not only changes of some files. And then, user needs to upgrade our phpBB versions, to do this user cannot use our standard upgrade packages, he must correct the upgrade patch with my changed,
So, I have trouble to prepare the "standard" form of my mode. There's only one type of solution: integrating my MOD to any phpBB version.

If I read your answer correctly you don't intend to follow the forum rules or MOD database rules. And you also don't seem to have any intention to submit this for validation.

I'll lock this topic for the above reason. If I did misread your answer please pm me or some other MOD team member.

I'm currently trying an other way of implementation. Why do you don't support both SQLite Libaries? SQLite is currently the only available one on my server. SQLite3 only works on PHP 5.3.*. I'm still working on implementing it, that both are available.

Edit:
As I see, you added both. Great. :)

But I have something to say: Sometimes the not really usefull to copy the sqlite code and add then sqlite_3.

Sample:

Code: Select all

case 'sqlite':
 some code here
break;

case 'sqlite_3':
 same code here
break;
wouldn't it just work to use

Code: Select all

case 'sqlite':
case 'sqlite_3':
code here
break;
?

Because 'sqlite' variant is very old, it uses some trucks to implement full DB functionality. So, I want to exclude degradations & problems with standard 'sqlite', then I've added a new case.

I tried it and it still don't work right. It's recognized now by the installation and i can choose sqlite3, but then I get a blank page.

Yeah it is a new installation. I wouldn't use an running board for that. :)

I just make a new installation and make the changes again. I think I just missed some of the codes, because I was not sure about the changes. After I tried it again, I'll posting here. Okay? :)

I'll posting here.

Ok. I mean if you need attach files, you can to do on Private message only.

So. If you use non-English installation, you need in addition translation changes into
language/<your-lang-code>/install.php
