Re: [ALPHA] New topics need approval (0.0.3)

Post by globetrotting » Thu Oct 30, 2008 8:04 am

This MOD would add a vital function to my board - even more so, if one could also choose, in which forums topic approval is needed.
Can't wait to see it finished - thanks!

Thank you mtrs for your fast answer which came while I was just editing my post above by adding:
"... even more so, if one could also choose, in which forums topic approvals are needed."
To be honest, this options would be essential for my needs.

Any chances for that?

It's the feature by default. This mod only adds a new forum permission, installing it doesn't change anything.
After installing the mod, you need to change this forum based permission of a user or groups, thus their new topics will need to be approved when this new permission set to YES in selected forums.
I abandoned all of my mods.

Thanks for this Mod !

But, why have you choose to set YES to active this function instead NO ?

How change this ?

Thanks again !

The permission is by default NO, and it doesn't affect anything. So, I preferred YES to activate this mod. Otherwise, it would take extra time to set permissions.

Ok, it's exactly what i want. But i think it's the contrary. I explain me, on the permissions of one forum, when i set the specific permission of this MOD on "YES", the users DON'T post a new subject whereas when i set it on "No", they can !

The problem is that when i set "Yes for all" (the admin for example), he hasn't all the permissions/approval. (just the option of this mod is missing)

That's why i would want inverse between "YES" and "NO".

PS: Sorry for my bad, bad, bad, [...] and bad English (and my expression^^)
