Modification Description:: AJAX User Registration Checks

Features: Upon user registration determines whether:
* The username is available or whether it has already been taken.
* The two passwords entered are the identical (if both have been entered).
* The first email address is in the correct format. If it is then it does the next check:
* The two email addresses entered are the same (if both have been entered).

This mod was formally AJAX Registration Checks from Author Quezza

Latest Revision 1.0.0: Updated to RC1.

The last/other edition of this iwe seen only had prosilver support. Does this support subsilver2 based templates ?

i think, password check, is bugged, i tried register, in http://playground.quezza.com/MySQL/ucp. ... dd9ab30431 - demo board, but it says "your passwords are not the same"

That demo board should not be used now. It is not supported by me. It is the old mod authors board

9moska3, I think that is on your side.. I attempted and everything worked great for me!

I do have a question though

It sounds like it would check the email address before the second one is entered. Is this not the case?

Either way, this will be downloaded and installed the next time I close the forum for a night. Awesome mod and I hope to use it well!

It checks that the first email is a valid mx record first

Can we use this mod to prevent very similar usernames registered?
Such as, at least 2-3 letters should be different in usernames.
if there is John, John1 should not be allowed, etc.
I abandoned all of my mods.

Not at the minute but it is something to think about however that could make user names quite restrictive too

Password check is not working if I use "ä" "ö" "ü" in the password ...

Email is not working for me at all ... any suggestions?

Checks are made for illegal characters in the password
