Hi

I have a very similar mod to this already installed on my forum.
The mod called Portal Pages and come as part of this portal package http://damysterious.xs4all.nl/portalxl/portal_pages.php
The mod already allows the use of html etc
I don't know if the Portal Page mod is available as a stand alone.
Thought you might like to look at it.

Having added this MOD to a live board I find the custom BBCode problem persists.
I believe, though I have no idea why, the problem is in the code used by the offending BBCodes. All use <div align= to do their magic.

I've also found that there seems to be at least three language variables missing in the latest version. PAGE_ORDER_EXPLAIN, PAGE_DISPLAY & PAGE_DISPLAY_EXPLAIN

Very nice mod!
Really handy, especially when you need to create a page for a few days about an event for example! :D

Hi, I'm back and I have a new version with me:
Static Pages 0.1.3

Download: http://www.ameeck.net/static_pages_013.zip

New features
  • URL rewrites optional
  • Pages accessible by name
  • Message when page is hidden for mods and admins
  • Link to page in ACP
  • Easier installation, only one file change!
Update
For those who want to update from older version, just run this SQL query, otherwise again, only rewrite the files with new ones:

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE phpbb_pages ADD page_url VARCHAR(255) CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_bin NOT NULL AFTER page_content;
If you want to run the URL rewrites added in this version, see the MODX installation file (DIY instructions).

Again bug reports are appreciated, I plan to stop the development here and release the MOD. Of course bugfree and simple as possible :)

Installed the newest version and the custom BBCode problem persists. I'd love a solution to this one as I'd like to use the [center] code in several pages.

I've also noticed that the editor is missing the IMG code button, though all my custom BBCode buttons are carried over.

I'll try to look at the styling...beats me why it does that.

And nice catch, I didn't notice I forgot to add the img tag, will do.

As stated on previous pages, this MOD will not support HTML, use Custom BBCodes.

After adding a second page to my testing I've found that the MOD seems to be adding the page number to the end of the generated URL with each edit.

Hey,
I'm going to use this MOD on my new website, but I have one feature request before:
Will this MOD support the phpBB language management?

Greets,
Niklas

What do you mean by "phpBB language management"?

Oh sorry,
In my phpBB are two languages packs installed (German and English). Normally phpBB uses {L_SOME_STUFF} in templates to show content in different languages. Does or will the MOD support this system?

Greets,
Niklas
