I love this modification. I installed it and everything was fine. Then I upgraded to phpbb 3.0.5 and the chat now no longer stays on the index page. There is a link that you click to go to the chatbox. But I would really like it to stay on the index page. Can anyone help, please? My site is:

tulipz, I saw nothing wrong with your mChat.
(but I didn't see any code for showing it on the index page, just the link to the chat.)
By the way you might be interested in using RefTagger, I use it on my site. Its free and sure saves a lot of typing. Just Google RefTagger.

Thank you. It is all fixed now. After updating to the latest phpbb version, some of the edits had reverted back to the original. Thank you so much for all your help everyone.

First thank you for an excellent mod. I installed it with 'AutoMod' and had no problem. After taking the DIY steps it runs perfect and everything works.

Question:
... Is there a way to install this into a Forum. A member or members would open a Forum called "chat" and there it would be insted of just opening on the board index.

------------- Please disregard the above question. All I needed was a link to mchat.php In a sticky.

Can someone explain how to remove the mchat link at the top of the page, next to "register" / "login" and how do I stop mchat from starting when a member clicks "board index" . I really don't want this to be seen at all until a member enters a forun called, let's say "Site Name Chat" There is a Sticky would be the link to open chat. This eliminates guest or those just looking at the site from seeing the chat window.

Also can anyone explain how to open that link/URL in a new window or new page?

First of all you have here one great mod thanks for that.
I have one question?
-Is normal not see the online users after the chat?
Because i see the chat body then the forum list body and finally the online status.
I have see the code of the "mchat_body.html" and you have the instructions for show the online users.
When we go to chat and don`t know who is online we have to scroll all down for see online users and then scroll all up again for write.
I used the "twilightBB" based on "subsilver2" but you can help like i have "subsilver2" and i transform to my "twilightBB" because i understand i little of programming .
Sorry for my bad English because i'm from Portugal (Portuguese).

some of my members are getting problems with my mchat using inter explore [getting logged out etc ]
is there a patch ??? fix ??

IM having trouble installing the mchat. its allready install into my board but whenever i got to administration control panel and click on .mods a general error pops up with the following:
