Don't care about this issue at the moment. This is fixed in the next version.
JeffSL wrote:Next, with the lottery, my members found a serious glitch, where if you purchase a negative amount of tickets, it will GIVE you points. This is a very serious thing to overlook, as you did not check if the person is buying a less than 0 amount of tickets.

Luckily the fix is easy:

OPEN
includes/points/points_lottery.php

FIND

Code: Select all

			// Check, if the user tries to buy more tickets than allowed
			if ( $total_tickets_bought > $points_values['lottery_max_tickets'] )
			{
				$message = sprintf($user->lang['LOTTERY_MAX_TICKETS_REACH'], $points_values['lottery_max_tickets']) . '<br /><br /><a href="' . append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}points.php?mode=lottery") . '">&laquo; ' . $user->lang['BACK_TO_PREV'] . '</a>';
				trigger_error($message);
			}
ADD AFTER

Code: Select all

			//Negative Tickets Fix
			if ( $total_tickets_bought <= 0)
			{
				$message = "You must buy at least 1 ticket!";
				trigger_error($message);
			}
Credits to my other admin, Justin for actually making the fix while I was out.
Thanks very much! Fixed in the SVN. We never thought that users might try to enter a negative value :o

The style you use is coded slightly differently to the other subsilver2 based styles, it is very easy to add codes in the wrong places if styles are coded differently.

I would ask the mod author about an add-on as I don't think Femu makes add-ons for the UPS, but there is some details about making add-ons for the mod in the contrib folder or something

Edit:

How can you give people a specified amount of points per post?

davsbrander wrote:Thanks for the mod! :) Works fine for me aside from a little hiccup where I edited a page in the wrong place, thankfully I had remembered to have a back up on the PC.

Question: Is there shop mod that will work with these points? I had a brief skim, but much search-fu isn't up to much today >.>

Thanks!

Adrian's Shop Mod should work with the UPS system: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1438015
Thanks! :) Will look into it.

Hi,

I'd like to request a feature (If it hasn't already been requested)

Is it easy for you to install some kind of limit in the Robbery and Lottery modules, so that we can limit abuse?

It's very easy indeed for someone to code a python script that parses user pages, reads cash data and then robs them automatically.

I want to exclude some forum for not giving points in it at all. Can you add this feature to the mod.

Along with the global point settings of the mod, there is also a forum based point settings, just go into the forum edit it and you'll see the options there, if not value is entered there the global will be used.

The Robbery system already has a percentage chance of it being successful or not, a penalty for if you fail & a max amount you can rob. But I think feature requests can be made here: http://www.area53.die-muellers.org/tracker.php?p=2

Look.
One of my members figured out an optimal algorithm using which, along with a python bot, can keep on stealing automatically until it gets the money.
Example. Steal X. Fails? If yes, Steal X+2X, until you get the money.

So, this has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the percentage of the robbery, I want to put a time limit. Is that clear?
