Great mod!

As soon as I upgraded to phpbb v3.0.5 (from 3.0.4) I'm going to install this :D

Follow the update in the contrib folder.

Hiya, I need help. I need the sql database for this mod for me to manuelly insert in phpmyadmin. The reason is that I forget that I should run the install file first. Instead I did that last and now I'm at an error where it requires me to ge the database inserted in order for me to access my forums.

A small change to all (thanks to Ashley.S.). I was pretty sure we changed every occurens of the displayed numbers, but as it looks like, we didn't :oops:

Please change in viewtopic.php follwoing.

Search

Code: Select all

 // Start Ultimate Points
 'POSTER_POINTS' => sprintf(number_format($user_cache[$poster_id]['points'], 2, ",", ".")),
 'POSTER_LOCK' => $user_cache[$poster_id]['points_lock'],
 'POSTER_BANK_LOCK'	=> $user_cache[$poster_id]['bank_lock'],
 'USER_ID' => $poster_id,
 'BANK_GOLD' => sprintf(number_format($holding[$poster_id], 2, ",", ".")),
 'BANK_ACCOUNT' => $user_cache[$poster_id]['bank_account'],
 // End Ultimate Points
and replace it with

Code: Select all

 // Start Ultimate Points
 'POSTER_POINTS' => number_format_points($user_cache[$poster_id]['points']),
 'POSTER_LOCK' => $user_cache[$poster_id]['points_lock'],
 'POSTER_BANK_LOCK'	=> $user_cache[$poster_id]['bank_lock'],
 'USER_ID' => $poster_id,
 'BANK_GOLD' => number_format_points($holding[$poster_id]),
 'BANK_ACCOUNT' => $user_cache[$poster_id]['bank_account'],
 // End Ultimate Points
The archive on my download site is already updated and reflects this change now.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.

femu

You've made a couple of mistakes in the contrib files for updating 1.0.1 to 1.0.2:

Code: Select all

Copy: root/language/en/info_acp_points.php
To: language/en/info_acp_points.php

Copy: root/language/en/points.php
To: language/en/points.php
Should be:

Code: Select all

Copy: root/language/en/mods/info_acp_points.php
To: language/en/mods/info_acp_points.php

Copy: root/language/en/mods/points.php
To: root/language/en/mods.points.php
Simple mistake and an easy fix but maybe new people won't notice and it won't work for them. Blinky also has errors when trying to install ;).

Oh yes. Fix that one, femu. I was trying to use AutoMod and it gave me errors on those two lines. It's not a big deal, but it is an error for newbies.

Also found a bug:

When you edit a user's cash and it shows up in the logs in the ACP you can click the user's name but it doesn't take you to their profile because the URL is wrong, it has /adm where it shouldn't.

Example:

Code: Select all

http://www.example.com/adm/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2
Should be: http://www.example.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2

Hmmm ... I'm confused, what you are meaning. Did you look in the ACP logs? I don't have errors over there ... When I'm in the ACP logs and click on the user name, I have following link behind:

Code: Select all

http://area53.die-muellers.org/adm/index.php?i=users&mode=overview&sid=b761b9c9d88fff35155d6ccbf398ad76&u=2
Or are you talking about something else?

As soon as you clarified this, I can replace the files (update.xml of course too) ;)

I can confirm that with the ACP Logs:

Ashley.S. [IP HERE] Thu Jun 25, 2009 12:32 pm Edited Ashley.S. points

Code: Select all

Ashley.S. [IP HERE] Thu Jun 25, 2009 12:32 pm Edited Ashley.S. points
clicking the link on the username takes you to a 404 not found error. I did point this out to Adrian with APS, but he never fixed it :(

Also a small bug with trying to enter 100.00 within any of the robbery settings, it won't let you!...you have to enter 100 and submit before it shows 100.00 for you, or was that done deliberately?

It's in the full logs and the quick 5 logs on the ACP index. Exactly as Ashley said it.

Yep. We meanwhile found, what you mean. This ist already corrected in the SVN. So in the next release the username won't be clickable. Even makes no sense in the ACP log though ;)

Thanks very much! All other is fixed and updated in the download. Just re-download, if you really need to.

And again for the Automod Users: Always be careful! If you already installed other mods, you might get in trouble. Not a must, but may happens! So we didn't try with Automod AND update .... Cause this is very difficult and we cannot take care of every possible combination, that might exist.

Found another bug:

If you make a topic, and it has posts on it or not, then a mod deletes the topic points still stay.

No. It's not a bug. We decided not to reduce points, when a mod or admin deletes the post/topic. So the basic idea was preventing people to writing topic/post just to gain points and delete their topic/points. If a mod/admin deletes, there might be other reasons behind ....
