This mod only use @fopen() to get the source.

You said in earlier post that you enabled CURL libraries, maybe this change @error_reporting() level... try to set error_reporting(E_ALL) before the @fopen line.

non ho capito bene cosa fare, puoi dire come fare passo per passo?

I did not understand what to do, you can tell how to do it step by step?

gennyna,

I think this is your server configuration issue... post your phpinfo (from ACP), let's see what to do next.

FYI: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.e ... orting.php

If you make it just like the old FIND code, I'll be happy!

Options:

- Create new Topics for each new item in Feed
- Allow for up to 100 characters in Forum Topic Title

Menu:
Forum Name: (DropDown - to post feed into which forum or sub-forum)
NewsFeed Name: (Text Box Give feed nice name)
Newsfeed URL: (Text Box - Obvious - URL to feed)
Limit: (Limit number of news items to create topics for. 0 for unlimited)
Username: (Text Box - Account Name to post topics under)

And then an option to manually kick off a pull for all feeds or just 1 feed (check boxes etc..) as well as check boxes to delete feeds if needed. And an edit feed option of course.

Thanks!
Everything is in place for current version, except Topic Title not in ACP (with phpBB function call to strip off extra chars, defaulted to 60)

gennyna,

I search for Altervista and found out your forum isn't standalone installation... right?

I think you better ask your site support about the php error_reporting() level and how to get http response header from fopen().

gennyna,

Try this:

Open includes/rss_parser.php

Find

Code: Select all

		$fp = @fopen($url, 'rb');
Before add

Code: Select all

		$prev_error_reporting = error_reporting();
		error_reporting(E_ALL);
Find

Code: Select all

			return false;
		}
After add

Code: Select all

		error_reporting($prev_error_reporting);
If you still can't get this works, I can sure this is a server related issue and there is nothing I can do. You have to ask the service provider for help.

BTW, IF the error_reporting() issue is common, I will add the above code in next version. So, please report if you got the same error. :)

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/rss_parser.php on line 202: Undefined offset: 2
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/rss_parser.php on line 202: Undefined offset: 1

According to php manual, set 0 turns off all errors!
This disable the http response code reporting.

gennina, try this:

Find

Code: Select all

      $fp = @fopen($url, 'rb');
Replace with

Code: Select all

      $fp = fopen($url, 'rb');
If above didn't works and the service provider can't help to make error_reporting() works as stated in the php manual, you are on your own!

gennyna,

This mod is under development. ... I don't think in current states, is suitable to mod this to live forum.
Since your difficulties is on server side, I can't provide any support... please wait for the official release, I hope this mod will be official after 2-3 more updates

I can tell your phpBB installation is bad from the message.

After you reinstall phpBB and verified OK, applied this mod and the error should be gone.

I found out the cause of that error I was having :) After I applied the fix from http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... #p11243225 all the problems went away.

That old code is in your latest version btw
