Re: [RC-4] RSS Input

Post by PoPoutdoor » Sat Mar 05, 2011 5:16 pm

@femu, I haven't update the spell fix yet... so, artikkk's issue should be related to missing/incomplete language files.

The problem is confirmed.

Seems related to cURL, have to test and workout the fix...

Edit: turns out the utf8_recode() doesn't return for this feed's 'iso-8859-1'

Edit3: bug on the encoding/recoding, will be fixed in next release.

Edit: turns out the utf8_recode() doesn't return for this feed's 'iso-8859-1', fix below:

Open includes/functions_find.php

Find

Code: Select all

	if ($encoding != 'utf-8')
Replace with

Code: Select all

	if ($encoding != 'utf-8' && $encoding != 'iso-8859-1')
now all utf8 are

Code: Select all

@artikkk

Since you haven't validate the source before asking for help, I'll no longer provide free support.

Edit: I found out your problem isn't source related, sorry! Your free support is valid as long as you provide needed info for your issue.

Does that MOD consider pubDate

Post by testit2011 » Wed Mar 16, 2011 6:01 pm

Hello,

can someone - who is already using that MOD - tell me if the publish date of an article form the RSS feed (pubDate) is considered so that the posting date in a forum is adapted to the correct pubDate?

For example you import an RSS Feed on 4th of april with several articles published on 22th o march ...
I wonder if the imported articles will have the correct posting date later on: 22th of march and NOT 4th of april?

Thanks and best regards
testit

Re: [RC-4] RSS Input -> DOWNLOAD URL does not work

Post by testit2011 » Thu Mar 17, 2011 9:39 pm

Hi,

is there anyone out there who already has downloaded this MOD and can provide it?

The download link
http://pop-guide.ath.cx/download/file.php?id=11
currently does not work!

Best regards

@ALL,

Download site current down for unknown reason (die after automatic reboot around 1800+0800).

Have to travel there to fix the server, download can be resumed in 3 days at best.

@testit2011,

The post time is the time you do the import, this is handled by phpbb code.

Hi,

Thanks for your fast reply!

Is there a possibility to upload the MOD to a one-click-hoster like rapid share or similar services until the normal download source is working again?

Best regards

I only got a working copy of to be released RC-5, and need to complete the changed code test before release.

I can't make sure the code is good if somebody provide download of this mod. So just wait until I get the server fixed.

BTW, after checking the last server log, seems I got a CPU fan failure... if I'm not lucky, have to get a P4 desktop up before I get new hardware ready to served. :cry:

Hi,

I really regret this because I MUST install a RSS reader in my phpBB3-board this weekend and I know the older FIND - Forum Integrated News Delivery-MOD which really was fine!

So I will have to make use of the SMIX Newsfeed Center (MOD obviously is abandoned) instead and install your MOD other times.

Best regards
