I am sorry the current version can only provide xHTML theme for BlackBerry, not touch/smartphone-friendly one. While, I am integrating jQuery Mobile: http://jquerymobile.com/ with my module right now, which provides touch-screen friendly theme for all popular smartphone platform -- I will make phpBB3 look like: http://jquerymobile.com/demos/1.0a1/ on your BlackBerry in two or three months.

Regarding installation, please go to: http://mobileonlinestyle.com/mophpbb3-download, download the latest package, un-zip the package, you will find a "readme.txt" file. Install the software on your web site according to the description of the "Installation" section.

Any question, feel free to ask me, I will try to support you.

Good idea, I will add some screenshot to the first post of this topic thread.

Right now, you can go to my demo page: http://mobileonlinestyle.com/mophpbb3-demo to get more feeling. You can even do it from your PC web browser.

All,

One important updating: for phpBB3 version 3.0.8 and later, please add following change beside readme installation instruction

OPEN
"http://yoursite.com/includes/session.php"

FIND

Code: Select all

			if (isset($_GET['sid']))
REPLACE WITH

Code: Select all

			if (isset($_GET['sid']) && !defined('MOPHPBB3'))
For phpBB3 3.0.7-PL1 and before, this change is not necessary.

The reason is phpBB3 3.0.8 updates its operation/scenario, which is incompatible with my code.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Rickey

// All language files should use UTF-8 as their encoding and the files must not contain a BOM.

// Placeholders can now contain order information, e.g. instead of
// 'Page %s of %s' you can (and should) write 'Page %1$s of %2$s', this allows
// translators to re-order the output of data while ensuring it remains correct
//
// You do not need this where single placeholders are used, e.g. 'Message %d' is fine
// equally where a string contains only two placeholders which are used to wrap text
// in a url you again do not need to specify an order e.g., 'Click %sHERE%s' is fine
//
// Some characters you may want to copy&paste:
// ’ » “ ” …
//

$lang = array_merge($lang, array(
    'BACK' => 'Indietro',

Hi cruzerv3,

Thanks for your contribution.

Could you tell me which jQuery Mobile style trouble you are having?

You know, the reason I replace iWebKit.net theme with jQuery Mobile theme is: iWebKit.net is based on iWebKit, it only supports iPhone, Android and iPad; while, jQuery Mobile is based on HTML5, it supports almost every smart-phone types: http://jquerymobile.com/gbs/. It is hard for me to support two themes systems at the same time. So, it is better we solve your problem at this time. If Mobile Online phpBB3 does not follow HTML5: http://validator.w3.org/, I will improve my code; if jQuery Mobile can not display well on one mobile device, I will raise the issue to jQuery Forum.

There is one short time solution: my platform can support current and previous versions of Mobile Online phpBB3, but you can not use both of them at the same time -- you can install Mobile Online phpBB3 Aruba 5.0 at your forum to use iWeKit.net theme. While, in long time, my plan is I will not support iWebKit.net.

Any question, feel free to ask me, I will try to help.

Rickey

Thanks a lot for your contribution.

I assume the file location should be "$phpbb_root_path/language/ru/mo.php", not "$phpbb_root_path/language/en/mo.php". If I am wrong, please correct me.
