Well, I'm not sure I'm able to provide a good explanation at the moment of how this works, but I found a page that appears to give some explanation of how this works (the image might be especially helpful):
http://www.sideralis.org/baobab/#the-ne ... l-in-brief

If that's not helpful, you may find some good explanations by searching google for "nested sets"

Hello. I am new to this mod (and modding in general) and was curious if there is a way to change the name given to the link users would click on to get to the tracker. Looks like by default it simply says "Tracker". Also, is there a way to change the names of the "project types". So instead of saying something like "Bug tracker" it can say something else?

Those are probably changeable if you edit the language file.

There is any way to avoid receiving emails from the tracker?

It would be great if i have a option on acp to choose receiving a notification via PM instead of email (i will set my maximium private messages to 500)

I do not have the habit of checking emails, would be better in PM

Is there a way to display the number of total open tickets on Index (just the number)?

Because you can see this in the "View statistics" link, but showing this on index would help me a lot :mrgreen:

If you check the code from the view statistics page, you might find an easy way to do it. I'm not familiar with this code so I'm not sure.

Installed, for some reason nobody but admin's can even go on the bug tracker...

They get this error

Code: Select all

You do not have the permission to view the tracker. If you believe this is an error please contact the board administrator.

Here is the issue I am having, I have a theme that is not based on prosilver or subsilver. As a result the create ticket button is missing. How would I add this or allow the tracker to use a default theme?

Which theme might that be?

One option is to find the call to $user->setup() and add the style id of the style you wish to use as the second parameter.

Eg. $user->setup('tracker/common', 1);

You'll need to find the id from the styles table in the database.

I am having trouble looking for this call, where would I find it?

Looks like it's here: https://github.com/EXreaction/phpbb-tra ... er.php#L30

Just use (change the id if you must):
$user->setup(false, 1);

Locked
