Re: [RC2] phpBB Ajax Like

Post by ronjan » Sat May 11, 2013 5:16 am

Hi,

I am trying to install the Ajax Like mod on phpBB-SEO.
All thou the install went fine and all features are there, it is not working.
The LIKE button, just goes to the index, instead of doing want it should, a popup I persume, also no like are added and the total likes link in the navbar also does nothing.

I tried the basic <a href="#" to change to <a href="{U_VIEW_TOPIC}#",
but also does not work, well now it is just a anchor to top.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Ron

Try replacing href="#postingbox" with href="{U_VIEW_TOPIC}#postingbox"

in viewtopic_body.html see if that works.

Unless I am really missing something here, there is NO href="#postingbox" in the viewtopic_body.html, nor is it added by the mod, I also checked the install.xml to see if something was missed, or even postingbox for that matter.

Even a fresh phpBB and phpBB-SEO do not have href="#postingbox"

Yes, all seems to be working fine. I get the popup and all, so jQuery is installed.

It is just the like button (well it is just a text (Like), so the button is also missing, solvable for me)

But text link (or button) should work and it does NOT work. Just does as I said in the first post:

The LIKE button, just goes to the index, instead of doing want it should (which is ???), also no like are added.

I tried the basic <a href="#" to change to <a href="{U_VIEW_TOPIC}#",
but also does not work, well now it is just a anchor to top.

you are using a custom theme, you should add it yourself or hire a designer to do it for you. if you do it yourself, double check to find what you missed.

oh I was by kira90. regarding your issue, I myself use phpBB-SEO and have not such problem. if you are using theme rather than prosilver/subsilver2 you should add mod codes to theme yourself. if you did, let me know what error you get in firebug

Thanks, but it is basic phpBB-SEO proSilver 3.0.11

I just unstalled all manually, so I am done with this mod
and needed to reply to un-check the notify option

OK emosbat,

I am willing to try the mod again on phpBB-SEO.

The main problem was:

The LIKE button, just goes to the index, instead of doing want it should (which is ???), also no like are added.

I tried the basic <a href="#" to change to <a href="{U_VIEW_TOPIC}#",
but also does not work, well now it is just a anchor to top.

So the whole add a like is not working.
I have SEO set to Advanced, forum and titles are re-written, which my guess is the problem.
