I'm not at home at the moment, but I just wanted to chime into say this will probably help solve the issue. When I return to my computer I can give fixing it a go.

Hey Sam, just checking in to see if you have made it to your computer yet. I am delaying opening my board until I can make use of this hook.

I couldn't figure out why, I was unable to reproduce any of those errors.

I found some problems. After installing the MOD in a forum with various topics and posts, when send a new PM or topic/post (post form) after submitting the form, displayed the following error:

Code: Select all

General Error
template->_tpl_load(): No file specified for handle body

BACKTRACE

CALL: msg_handler()

I fixed this error with the following statement.

Another problem is that mark forums/topics as read isn't working, pagination doesn't work too.

The bigger problem is that all topics are displayed only as t{TOPIC_ID}-html, ie myurl.com/forum/t{ID}-.html.

I do not recommend the use of this in any live environment. I am being careful with this because this could seriously interfere with the working of your board if there are any serious bugs.

Ah... I'll see if I can fix that.

Hey Sam, just wanted to report back and let you know that I tried the hook again. This time I was in the ACP and cleared the boards cache as soon as I uploaded the hook to the server. Everything is working now. Not sure if that is what "fixed the problem" but it is all working now. :)

A little correction:
_Vinny_ wrote:pagination doesn't work too.
Is the search pagination. ;)

And when I use jumpbox to visit the forums, I have the following error:

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file [ROOT]/includes/hooks/hook_pretty_urls.php on line 197: Undefined index: f

ultimate seo is big and dirty, it mess around with half of the phpbb core, and add hundreds of lines of code. This is a simple and elegant solution.
