I believe he is saying that he shouldn't be getting a PM if he posted within his own guestbook?

this is a great idea! I am considering installing the tabbed profile mod (http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/tabbed_profiles/) , would the guestbook be easily integrated into this in a new tab?

I've played about with both mods on a test forum and managed to get it to partially work on the first tab, but obviously the styling looks a little weird with the backgrounds. That's about as far as I could get with it together as I've been extremely busy.

I just looked at the code of the MOD, and it should be not that difficult at all to modify the guestbook as a new tab.
