What you should do is tell your host to upgrade to PHP5. The PHP Group will be no longer supporting PHP4 in 8 days anyways.

But the bug will be fixed for the next version.

Until then, you can open blog/blog/add.php and blog/blog/edit.php:
Find

Code: Select all

		foreach ($category as &$cat_id)
		{
			$cat_id = (int) $cat_id;
And replace with:

Code: Select all

		foreach ($category as $i => $cat_id)
		{
			$cat_id = $category[$i] = (int) $cat_id;

WOW ! Great job with BB code function. :D

Only one thing i mensioned, in some blogs on the main page word "[continued]" is affected of BB code too. Like "continued" is a part of the text.

... and by the way, I am running php5 :mrgreen:

Yes, there is a converter for The Blog Mod 0.2.4b included. Just go to blog.php?page=upgrade. Unless you are talking about a different blog mod, then no. If it is a different one, you can give me some data on it I can build a converter for it.

Permissions set for the user in the administration control panel over-ride any user set permissions. So if guests are not allowed to reply to any blogs they will not be able to reply to yours even if you give them permission for that blog. Same with reading.

Check in ACP->Permissions->Permission Masks->View User Based Permissions, then select the anonymous user.

Nice.

Although, The Blog Mod, a similar phpBB script used in version 2, is also in beta for 3.

Yours is good as far as organization and easy allocating of blogs, but we'll see which is better. I'll bookmark this. ;)
