Danaldinho: Not really possible.

Mattgid: I don't know immediately...I'm mostly away from my computer for the next several days.

Hello MR. Doughnut,

I had a small problem today with verion 0.2.3.

I am Admin of my forums. I have over 1700 posts. I am in the Admin group naturally. I have an Auto Group Called Brilliant Supporters. The settings are as follows. Min post count 1000 max 10,000. Somehow after I deleted a few posts of mine, I got dumped into the Brilliant supporters group. I have not been able to reproduce this error though. Any ideas? BTW, I have just upgraded to RC6 over the weekend but the this issue happened today.

I don't see what the problem is...if you have 1700 posts, you should be a member of brilliant supporters, and if you are not, the MOD should add you.

No, what I mean is, Somehow the mod made me Default for Brilliant supporters. My user color changed too. My post count has been in the 1700's for a few months now and this is the first time this has happened. Why after all this time would I be moved from that group?

Someone else reported a similar problem that I haven't had the time to try to reproduce. I'll try to block out an hour or two to work on this MOD a bit later this week.

Should be. I haven't really tested it, but there is no reason that it shouldn't be :)

I installed this mod live when we updated to RC7 and we're getting some users dropping out of groups. It seems to happen only after they've posted enough to reach the maximum posts for that group eg
  • • a user belongs to Group 1 that has a min/max post count of 0 and 5 respectively, they make their 5th post, log out then later log back in but can't see any of the forums. They belong to no group except reg. users.
We've got our groups set up like this:
Group 1 - 0 to 5 posts
Group 2 - 6 to 10 posts.

I think you've said earlier in the thread that it's better to have the groups set up like this - or should we have them set up so that Group 2 is for users with 5 - 10 posts?

I'm not sure if this is the cause of your problem, but I normally recommend setting the lowest group to one minimum post, not zero.

Yes, I think I recall you posting that before too. The group set up I gave above was just to give you a clear example of max post count and the user being dropped from that group. We've actually got groups set up with 3 - 5 posts and 6 - 8 posts - they're both quite large groups which shouldn't really make a difference but those are the 2 groups that seem to be dropping users the most noticeably.

I've been keeping an eye on it for a few days, it's only when they log out then log back in that the problem seems to arise. But it's unlikely to be happening to everyone in that scenario or I'd really know about it!

Hi Mr D

Any chance of incorporating a Paypal group payment option to this mod.
It’s beginning to look as though the other Paypal group payment mod may have lost it author or he’s so busy he doesn’t have time to update his thread.

Cheers
Gareth
