Hello,

Just got word from members that they cannot log in, and if they can log-in, they are sent bag to the log-in page after a few seconds. This was the AFTER, I put in the karma mod :cry:

includes/session.php,

See if you messed that up.
The box said 'You need Windows XP or better' .... so I installed linux.

It looks correct so I don't know what the problem could be. You haven't installed any mods or messed with anything else and did you do session.php or /includes/session.php?

This is the second MOD I have installed, the other one being the Anti-bot question. Members have been able to log in now but the karma mod does not work at all. I have gone again and again over the install. There was just one error and the solution for that error was on page 29 of this forum (line 623 error). during the auto install of install_karma, there were no hitches, it went smoothly. Can't think of nothing else at this point.

I just realized something: Do I do the manual install(modify session.php as an example) first BEFORE pointing to install_karma?

Yeah, you do all edits first and then the SQL(Which I think the install_karma does) and then point your browser to the install file.

It should mean that the karma MOD was once installed successfully previously, so the installer cannot continue.[/quote]
Can anyone please point to a fix on this? Thanks once again.

A_Jelly_Doughnut wrote:All of the references to karma are contained in the /language/en/mods/karma.php. You can change them there if you wish.
Does this mean that I change all the KARMA words with a word I prefer so that:

Code: Select all

      ACP_KARMA = = => ACP_AWARD'
	'ACP_KARMA_CONFIG  = = =>ACP_AWARD_CONFIG'
	'ACP_KARMA_CONFIG_EXPLAIN = = = >ACP_AWARD_CONFIG_EXPLAIN'

Thanks and sorry for all those questions. Its been hell to install this. (But I am sure going to enjoy the moment it works)!

BTW: Thanks Blaze.

It would be desirable for updating mod. The main thing to consider corrections in this theme and installation mod will be easier.

I'm sorry ahead of time as I know this is a stupid question, but is there a walk-through for the installation of this somewhere? Usually in mod's there are, maybe I'm just not finding it. Also, is this version functional, at least to a point of actually being able to use it? Thanks.

Yes there is, after you extract the files, look for KarmaMOD. XML, click on it and Internet Explorer will open it for you.
