I just installed this mod, however i am getting the error:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to a member function session_begin() on a non-object in /public_html/talk/index.php on line 24
I made all of the changes to the files as specified in the xml files, however, there is no instruction as to what to do after that...

Thanks for the help.

What should I be doing with the instal_karma folder. :?:

Would be helpful if you posted line 24?

Sounds like you made an error in editing

Hi! This mod works perfectly for my message board, but due to some recent drama that rear its ugly head over the karma, I have a request: would it be possible to implement a feature where any user that had karma disabled for themselves would not be able to give karma to anyone else? So if Person X decided that they didn't want to receive karma from anyone, they would disable karma for their profile. But in doing so, they would then be unable to leave karma for others.

Thank you. :)

I think that would be a great idea. It's not fair to disable it for yourself but still karma others.

Ok. seen there wasn't a fix yet for the search errors. Took the first bit of karma coding out of search.php & then another error came for the second part of karma coding in the search.php

Will taking them both out of search.php affect the usage of the karma mod at all? Otherwise, what was the meaning for the 2 codes to be in there?
I test on a live board w/ a little over 1k members. Couldn't leave the search not working

Thanks.

Hi still having problems here - line 24 looks like this:

Code: Select all

// Start session management
$user->session_begin();
$auth->acl($user->data);
$user->setup('viewforum');

display_forums('', $config['load_moderators']);
It would be really great if somebody could tell me what to do in order to fix this problem. I'd really like to get my board up and running again!

Again - here's the error i;m getting:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to a member function session_begin() on a non-object in /public_html/talk/index.php on line 24

Just a guess, recheck session.php

Make sure you edit includes/session.php not root/session.php

Yup I just checked my session.php. There is no root/session.php.

I've made the changes to all of the files, but I am still getting this error. I am using PHP5
