Yes look in the code and change:
From - HHmmss
To - Hmmss

And you can change the time zones by changing the:
Timezone=EST, MST, CST, PST, Zulu, etc... to whatever time zone you want..

I do alot of aviation stuff (Janet Virtual Air) so I use the Zulu clock, But you can change it

I added the 12 Hr format to my code in the above post :P

Embed is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict

Post by Decurio »

If you wish to keep the valid consistancy that phpBB3 features, you should remove the <embed> and replace it with <object>. I will provide an example;

Code: Select all

<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,47,0" width="60" height="20">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" />
<param name="movie" value="http://www.clocklink.com/clocks/5005-orange.swf?TimeZone=PST&TimeFormat=Hmmss" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
</object>
It should show in all popular browsers while still being Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict.
(Well funny thing is that phpBB3 even includes the embed tag breaking the valid pages in their Flash BBCode, so I had to edit it myself.)
Best regards,
Decurio (bloodhoof.info)

To change time zones look for and change:
<param name="movie" value="http://www.clocklink.com/clocks/5005-gr ... ?TimeZone=XXX&TimeFormat=HHmmss" />

To change 24 (HH) / 12 (H) Hr Look for and Change:
<param name="movie" value="http://www.clocklink.com/clocks/5005-gr ... imeFormat=HHmmss" />

To change text area of clock Look for and change:
<param name="movie" value="http://www.clocklink.com/clocks/5005-red.swf?TimeZone=CET&TimeFormat=HHmmss" /> <--- **Central Europe Time Zone
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
</object>
Central</span></strong> </div></td>

**Note - Make sure time zone code matches Text area time zone (So it could be Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, etc... & Not California)

US Time Zones:
PDT = Pacific Daylight Time; PST = Pacific Standard Time; MDT = Mountain Daylight Time; MST = Mountain Standard Time; CDT = Central Daylight Time; CST = Central Standard Time; EDT = Eastern Daylight Time; EST = Eastern Standard Time; AKDT = Alaska Daylight Time; AKST = Alaska Standard Time; HADT = Hawaii-Aleutian Daylight Time; HAST = Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time; HST = Hawaii Standard Time

Eurpoe Time Zones:
GMT = Greenwich Mean Time; UTC = Coordinated Universal Time; BST = British Summer Time; WEST = Western European Summer Time; WET = Western European Time; CEST = Central European Summer Time; CET = Central European Time; EEST = Eastern European Summer Time; EET = Eastern European Time; MSKS = Moscow Summer Time; MSK = Moscow Time.

playerfr,
If I understand you correctly you want France as the text area of the clock instead of "Central"

Is this what you want?
Image

If so look for and change
<param name="movie" value="http://www.clocklink.com/clocks/5005-red.swf?TimeZone=CET&TimeFormat=HHmmss" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
</object>
Central</span></strong> </div></td>

CET = the Time zone & Central = the text area of the clock

Code would look like this:

Code: Select all

<param name="movie" value="http://www.clocklink.com/clocks/5005-red.swf?TimeZone=CET&TimeFormat=HHmmss" />
        <param name="quality" value="high" />
        <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
      </object>
  France</span></strong> </div></td>

Probably not.
I can do the same with jscript so why do it with shockwave - whatever that is.

Update: Yes Shockwave installed and enabled.

So is it working now? If not I suggest you create a test HTML and put it on your site and see if it works.
then post the link to see if it works for me & others... :)

TEST

Code: Select all
