Tell how to allow, please, to look through remote messages all to users, and not just moderators?

Hey Primehalo,

What a great mod you have here.
I do have one request though, is there any way I can make it so non-moderators can't see who deleted any posts/topics?
For example, with Image
So, instead of seeing:
This topic/post was deleted by webmaster on Sat Sep 22, 2007 10:23pm.
They would see:
This topic/post was deleted on Sat Sep 22, 2007 10:23pm.
Is there any way to do this?

Cheers.

I'd edit the prime_deleted_msg.html template file, adding a check to see if the user is a moderator, or can access the moderator control panel, or something like that.

I have found problem solution: prime_trash_bin.php

Code: Select all

//$permission = $permission || $auth->acl_get('f_read', $forum_id); // Allow any user to see the deleted posts so long as they can view the forum

Hi,

I'm using this mod and it works great. But I have one small problem. I set the placeholder for deleted messages to No. When I delete the last message from any topic regular users can't see the placeholder it's ok but they see the last poster name on the forum list. Is it normal or can we change this? It's not so important for me but my main problem is if a user hadn't saw the last message before deleting they can see that topic "unread". So if nobody write to that topic they always see unread messages icon. Can we solve this?

Btw, I'm using View or mark unread posts mod to show unread topics and posts.

Thanks...

I understand your issue but unfortunately I don't have the time right now to look into adjusting this. Sorry, I'm just way too busy with paid projects at the moment.

Thus far;

*Backed up files
*Edited files from install.xml and kept seperate from Backed up files
*Done SQL
*Uploaded Included Files
*Started replacing files as per install.xml, checking board's functionality every few files I overwrite...

# adm/style/acp_users_overview.html, - seems OK
# adm/index.php, - seems OK
# includes/acp/acp_board.php, - seems OK
# includes/acp/acp_forums.php, - seems OK
# includes/acp/acp_users.php, - get below error inside ACP

Code: Select all

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_DOUBLE_ARROW in /home1/bertiest/public_html/phpBB/includes/acp/acp_users.php on line 476
Here is a portion of my acp_users.php file

Code: Select all

							if (confirm_box(true))
							{
							//-- mod: Prime Trash Bin (Posts) -------------------------------------------//
              // Intercept the post deletion (deleting all posts by a specific user).
								include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/prime_trash_bin_2.' . $phpEx);
								stifle_users_posts($user_id, $user_row['username'], adm_back_link($this->u_action . '&u=' . $user_id));
              //-- end: Prime Trash Bin (Posts) -------------------------------------------//

								// Delete posts, attachments, etc.
								delete_posts('poster_id', $user_id);
Any ideas?

I believe the T_DOUBLE_ARROW error shows up when there is an invalid one of these:

Code: Select all

=>
However, I don't see one of those in your code, so I have no idea.

I've worked it out!!! 8-) 8-) ....I had the following code...

Code: Select all

//-- mod: Prime Trash Bin (Posts) -------------------------------------------//
// Pass on our variables through the confirmation page.
									'delete_reason'		=> request_var('delete_reason', '', true),
									'delete_forever'	=> request_var('delete_forever', false),
//-- end: Prime Trash Bin (Posts) -------------------------------------------//
...BEFORE this code...

Code: Select all

								confirm_box(false, $user->lang['CONFIRM_OPERATION'], build_hidden_fields(array(
...when it should have been AFTER!

Uploaded the rest of the MOD'd files, all is good thus far in a live environment.

Forgive my asking,
But is there any chance of this being made compatible with AutoMOD?

Cheers.

Hello,

I have noticed that when you change SHOW_PLACEHOLDER to false within includes/prime_trash_bin.php, if you then have a whole page within a topic of deleted posts it still allows the user to visit that page number in the topic but then doesn't show any posts.

Is it possible to change this behaviour so that when they view the topic it only loads the results for the appropriate posts, therefor showing the correct pagination and post count?

Thanks

HI,
I'm having an install problem. I'm doing an Automod force-install because Automod couldn't find one of the finds in includes/mcp/mcp_main.php
After I click the force-install button (and the "OK" in the Javascript) I get the "MOD installed" page telling me there were errors.
In the red box at the top of the page it says "AutoMOD could not FTP the file store/mods/Prime Trash Bin/_edited/mcp.php into place".
When I hit "retry" I get the FTP connection page telling me
"Connection failed. Error connecting to the server."
But if I hit the "test connection" button it connects just fine.
According to Automod the mod is installed, but there's a "force install" button on the "MOD installed" page that's telling me about the errors, so I'm not sure where I am.
I did the manual find/edit on the includes/mcp/mcp_main.php file.
I thought I'd manually FTP the missing file into the /_edited/ directory, but I don't know where to upload it from since I don't see a "Store" folder in the Prime Trash Bin install folder.
I've cleared the cache as instructed but don't see anything in "Board Settings" about deletion options so it doesn't seem to be finished with the install.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Al
