Yes after installing Highslide Mod. You automatically get a switch in the ACP for all the options as demonstrated below
azzurri wrote:So, I am still having trouble with only half the upload button showing. Also, what do you think of my suggestion of displaying the latest images on the forum index. Making the gallery a bit more integrated to the forum itself encouraging to upload more photos.
Why this Mod does show the recent/random pics on the forum index :? ..Just follow the instructions under the recent/random images folder inside the Addons folder of the MOD

Yep me again another questions. im starting to upload images now..

If i want to force a certain image for catogory i see in admin their is a field called album image:

I have tried the following. the image number, the compelte url of the image and use the bbcode [album]202[/album]

but all do not work?

anyone advise?
The album bbcode only works for that particular image and not the entire set of images in the sub album

zake black wrote: I think he may have meant in the main forum not the index of the gallery?
That add-on which Gremlinn and Novanilla just explained is for the Main forum index and not the gallery index

@ Gremlinn sorry i forgot to post the link

Please excuse me guy's for my ignorance. I just couldn't find any add-ons. Do I have to download it separately somewhere?

EDIT: found it. Thank you guy's!

Im not sure i understand? sorry if im being stupid.

I simply want to use within ACP and the "Gallery Albums Control" option the last option available "Album image: " what do i need to put here? i have tried as advised?

Are you saying those images will not work as they are at another level? do i need to upload to the server directly via ftp and then place the url for that image then?

I will try that anyway now.. :)

Thanks

Andy

I absolutely love this mod. Get's better and better.

Is there a way to minimize the white empty space around the thumbnail? I think it is taking up too much space. It's like a cellspace that is too big. :)

There is a great chance it will affect your mod. What I do personally is that I do a back up of all the mods I have installed so I keep track of which mods I have (the same version that I have installed). I run my forum updates automatically and after I go through each and every mod and compare to the list of files affected by the forum update to see if there has been any changes to files that has been altered by my mods. I usually only do this if there is something wrong with my mods (I check them all after update). It can be a bit time consuming sometimes but it is fool proof safe and works for me.

I think i misunderstood your question... i was thinking if you wanted the album within a post to pullout all the pics of that album which is not possible

You can just place a url there to show the pic

Its allowed so as to allow people to post portrait-oriented images...You could adjust that by going into the thumbnail settings (pixel size) and set it to around 200, then save and refresh the thumbnail cache. Now go back and change the thumbnail size to 135, and save without refreshing the cache, and it should remove the border.

You could try other values as well depending on the pixel size you have opted for?

A very good way of updating actually else it is very difficult to install each and every mod.

Looks like a bug then...Open a ticket @ http://www.flying-bits.org/tracker.php?p=6

Edit : Actually i just ran through it once again...It is working though you would need to upload the image file to the forum/images folder and then just give the image name into the album image value

Again thankyou. have now worked this out. I really like the way you can use an image of any size very usefull. However i would prefer if it were link. for example if i place an image to display. the natural thing to do is to click on the image not the text link. i think it makes it more confusing to those not used forums and the web. which to be honest is going to be alot of my intended audience

Can someone please explain to me exactly what these options do. I can't really figure them out...
subscribe own images by default:

subscribe commented images by default:

subscribe favorite images by default:
Is there an option for users to be notified when someone comments their images? What is favorite images? Why subscribe to "own" images? What does that do?

Sorry for all the questions. Again, thank you for a wonderful mod.

i have just installed the gallery and would like to know what the difference is between

Own personal albums
Personal albums

i don't want to mess up permissions, and i know that members need to be able to edit their albums, but not other members, but staff should be able to edit all albums. So which one should i give all access to here?

Own personal albums...everyone should be able to edit
Personal Albums...everyone should be albe to view and not edit

is that right?
